This is the story of our end of the world. We found it in Rycerka, in the Rycerski Potok valley, not far from the border with Slovakia. And we knew from the very first moment that we would transform the old house into one filled with warmth and coziness, and we would also take care of all the components of deep relaxation, with closeness to nature at the forefront. Our village used to be called Radeczka. Beskid robbers roamed here, and Count Ludwik De Laveaux, fascinated by the local folk culture, not only bought the village but also described it in his work "Bieskid Highlanders of the Western Carpathian Range". We are not surprised at all, because even the names of the hills here stimulate the imagination. There are Praszywka, Bendoszka and Przegibek, among others. Rycerka Górna consists of 61 scattered parts, scattered at the foot and on the slopes of the mountains. You will look at some of them from two terraces, a jacuzzi and a sauna of a comfortable house with 3 bedrooms. And from its threshold you will set off straight onto the trails. After returning, you will listen to music from vinyl, warm yourself by the fireplace and play more than one game of board games. And maybe you will also think that it would be nice to come back here?
In Rycerka Górna, at the end of the world, we have woven our place from dreams. Our house is 200 m² and has plenty of space for groups of family and friends.
Inside, you will find three bedrooms with bathrooms, a large common area (a living room connected to the kitchen and dining room), and outside, two terraces with a jacuzzi. We also have a sauna for you. All bedrooms are located on the first floor. Two have double beds, the third has a double bed and two single beds. Additional sleeping places are two fold-out sofas in the living room.
We took care of the wooden parquet flooring, large windows with a view of the mountains, linen blackout blinds and fabulously comfortable mattresses.
At your disposal, we have a vast meadow, ideal for relaxation, picnics and outdoor activities.
In the area you can buy village milk, eggs, cheeses and local honey.
Or maybe you fancy some homemade broth or cake?
For those willing, for an additional fee we will prepare broth from village hen and homemade cake.
A nearby restaurant with a beautiful view is located in Zwardoń "Karczma Swojskie Klimaty"
Karczma Ochodzita is also worth visiting. Being there, you must climb to the top of the mountain of the same name. It is literally 5 minutes from the inn and the views are spectacular.
This is a place woven from our dreams. Located in a picturesque mountain village, immersed in nature. And with history, because we breathed new life into the old house. Today, it charms with comfort, pampers with a fireplace in the living room, a dry sauna with a view of the garden and mountains and two terraces with a jacuzzi. Inside, you will find board games, a mini library and a collection of vinyls.
The area around Żywiec Landscape Park and the Śrubita reserve will appeal to even the most demanding travelers. The heat will allow you to survive the splashing in the cool and clean rivers in Rycerka. You can set off on the trails directly from the house and conquer: Przegibek, Bendoszka Wielka, Przysłop Potócki, Rycerzowa, Wielka Racza and Młada Hora. It is not far from here to the rocky peak of Mała Fatra, to the Rysianka viewing hall, to the Pilsko peak, Barania Góra, Skrzyczne, Babia Góra.
Cyclists will be pleased to know that Velo Sola runs close to here – a nearly 40 km cycling route along the Sola River (due to the small differences in elevation, it is ideal for family trips).
If you want to go abroad, there is a Tourist Border Crossing in Rycerka. You can eat Slovak dumplings and return to Samotnia for dinner. If Slovakia is not on your mind, go to Żywiec (with a beautiful park, castle and historic brewery), to Zwardoń (a brilliant ski slope Zwardoń-Ski) or to Geo Park in Glinka. At Lake Żywieckie you can rent a sailboat, kayak, SUP board or water bike.
In Sol, near Rajcza, you can take advantage of the excellent properties of the salt graduation tower in Solankowa Kraina. You can cover the route from Rycerka Górna to the graduation tower by a beautiful scenic shortcut through the mountain.
