We travel here for freedom and slowness. We built a house at the foot of the Karkonosze Mountains in defiance of the rushing time and challenges posed by family everyday life. In this way, we realized that, although different, discovering the world with children is even more interesting. It was in Szarocin that we learned that it is possible to walk in the mountains together, ride cross-country skis and try our hand at singletrack. Here, too, when we are not moving, we catch our breath. We spy on bullfinches, long-eared tits and nightingales, in a hammock we listen to their songs, at night we count the stars in the sky. We take care of the natural flower meadow together and watch the birch thicket surrounding our house grow. It was this that helped us give the name to this place. In a large house with an almost equally large terrace, you can relax as a family or as friends with 4 people. You will hide here from the whole world, because the house is located far from all the neighbors and there are no signs of civilization visible from our plot. Who knows, maybe a weekend in this place will make you feel younger?

In Lower Silesia, at the foot of the Mountains, in the birch Młodnik at an altitude of 630 m above sea level, we created a place for ourselves a few years ago. Precious. We are here for the slowness, peace, as many stars as there are, the rustle of leaves, the singing of birds. For everything that saves and never disappoints. The time has come to share this Place with those who like it as much as we do...

We offer a house with an area of 120 m² at your disposal - we provide 2 of 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms and a sauna. The central part of the house is a spacious living room, the vault of which reaches almost 8 m, and a large amount of glazing gives space and a view of the forest greenery. In the living room you will find a comfortable sofa by the fireplace, a TV and a dining area, with a large table with a bench and chairs. From the living room and kitchen you can go out onto a large 100-meter terrace surrounding the house on two sides, where you will find another large table and places to sit and relax (armchairs, chairs, bench, deckchairs).

The house is located on a large plot of land, where we take care of a natural flower meadow, among which we placed a fireplace with seats. One wall of the area is a birch thicket, which helped us give our place a name, and in its buffer zone you will find a hammock, you will meet a woodpecker, a bullfinch, a long-tailed tit, a nightingale and many other birds. The entrance to the house is surrounded by a pleasant porch with a place to sit, where you can take shelter when it is windy, rainy or finish the ritual of using the sauna.

The house is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and then eating meals.  Thanks to a well drilled at a depth of 64 meters, you can drink our excellent and refreshing water straight from the tap.

The nearest shop is down in the village, for more complete shopping you have to go to Kamienna Góra (7 km).

You can order a pizza with delivery to the house, we recommend the one from a wood-fired oven (Temat Pizza, Kamienna Góra). We also recommend the famous Kawiarnia u Leszka, serving traditional Polish cuisine in a charming place full of family souvenirs (be careful, the place is very small, you usually need to make a reservation!), as well as two restaurants in Mała Upa (20 min drive, through the charming Przełęcz Okraj) - Pivovar Trautenberk (a small local brewery with a restaurant offering Czech cuisine) and Chata Hradecanka with excellent pizza and Italian cuisine.

Lower Silesia is full of attractions – from magical historical places, castles, museums, through countless trails, forms created by nature, shelters to places offering great classes and workshops. 

It is difficult to mention all of the first ones – the entire extraordinary Valley of Castles and Palaces, including the impressive Książ Castle with the Książ Stud Farm, the Ceramics Museum in Bolesławiec, the great multimedia exhibition Atmospheric Karkonosze opened for visitors by KPN in the beautiful walls of the Sobieszów Palace, the Basilica in Krzeszów considered a European pearl of the Baroque, or the Podgórze Uranium Mine run by absolute history enthusiasts and the Arado Project in Kamienna Góra.

Attractions that provide time in movement and nature are, of course, mountain trails leading through the Karkonosze National Park to Śnieżka, with picturesquely located Shelters (Samotnia, Odrodzenie, Dom Śląski, Strzecha Akademicka), Rudawski Landscape Park - Rudawy Janowickie and the entrance to Skalnik with a beautiful panorama of the Karkonosze, bike routes - Kaczawskie Singletracki and Giants (we recommend the loop in Borowice with the possibility of swimming in the Podgórna stream) or the Park in Bukowiec - a journey in time, a walk through the 18th century complex with the possibility of renting a boat and sailing on one of the ponds. It is worth seeing the magical land of rocks - Adršpach Rock Town - impressive, huge rock formations, the height of which reaches up to 100 meters, decorated with waterfalls, a lake, narrow passages create an extraordinary landscape. One of the most charming towns offering hiking trails, cross-country trails in winter and ski slopes, with an outdoor ice rink surrounded by trees is Mała Upa, located at an altitude of 1050 m above sea level. You will also find the aforementioned restaurants and a great winter equipment rental there.

For fans of downhill skiing: Czarnów Ski, located 10 minutes from the house - a small, well-functioning resort with illuminated slopes. Skimu Mała Upa - a small, charming complex with approx. 7 km of slopes and the largest ski resort in the Czech Republic - Skiresort.cz, including Pec Pod Snezkou and Janske Lazne (Cerna Hora) - a total of 50 km of slopes (35 min. drive).

The house is surrounded by forests and meadows, where cows and sheep (the largest herd in the area is 800) are traditionally grazed. You can also observe regularly encountered forest animals - roe deer and deer (autumn, unusual rutting, heard from the window of the house). In the summer, in the immediate vicinity of the house you will find streams, blueberries, raspberries and forest blackberries in large quantities, in the autumn mushrooms - from chanterelles, through the abundant parasol mushroom to boletus.

The initiative of events and workshops is also active - from ceramic workshops, through beekeeping, observations of bats with sound detectors, or the observation and audio recording of the autumn rutting organized by the KPN with a walk with binoculars from the Hunter's Lodge through Samotnie to Strzecha Akademicka - an amazing adventure at dusk, we were there - we recommend it!

In one of the upper bedrooms, we have prepared a desk with a chair and a printer for those working. Wi-Fi range allows remote work, using a browser or freely conducting video conferences. The bedroom is located on the first floor, which provides silence and comfort of work.
