Do you know the story of Dick Proenneke? At the age of 52, he moved to Alaska and built a cabin in the middle of nowhere with his own hands. He returned to the city only 30 winters later. And although it is difficult to find Alaskan landscapes in the Lublin region, we also found a hideaway from the rest of the world here. A forest house that has survived 5 generations and that we did not want to change above all. Slowly, with respect for history and materials, we brushed the floors, converted an old utility room into a bedroom, and created a natural refrigerator in the basement.
For our Uroczysko, we are looking for sensitive Guests who will become part of the forest for the duration of their stay. They will leave the speakers at home, say “hello neighbor” to the beavers and let the night be really night, without turning on unnecessary lights.
Is that about you? Well, we invite you :)

Joanna i Zbigniew
We speak these languages: Polish, English
Sometimes we are on-site, sometimes we're not
If you come to us for a whole week, Joanna will welcome you with delicious, old-fashioned sourdough bread she baked herself. Butter and salt. Combined with bread, it's a delicacy.
If you're interested, Zbigniew will tell you about the challenges associated with renovating a house that's over 120 years old.
We like nature and big cities. We divide our time between these two extreme environments.
We wanted to invite you to our house in Chojniak.
We like staying here. The peace and quiet of this place provide great physical and mental comfort.
The floors throughout the house are made of natural materials (wood and stone). Be open to sensory contact with this surface or bring slippers. Wellington boots are also worth taking for walks in the forest.
Where will I sleep?
4 ppl. – Uroczysko Chojniak
100 m²
•Without pets
The house on Chojniak was built in 1897. It survived the Russian partitions, German occupation and the Polish People's Republic. This is an old over 4-hectare settlement. The house is in the forest, away from other settlements. Away from roads, noise and other people. Silence and solitude. A huge number of birds and a beaver reservoir. A wilderness!
What do I find on the spot?
