Welcome to our island. This is our treasure island, because we found everything that is most precious right here. We dreamed of a haven outside the city, where we could take a break from traffic jams, queues, deadlines, hit pause and rest from what occupies our heads every day. And that's how we ended up in Brzóza.
Here we have a forest that looks and smells different at every time of day and year. We have sunny spectacles that we like to observe from the level of our bed upstairs. We have countless paths among forests, meadows and fields. It was here, to the former Kozienicka Forest, that Władysław Jagiełło came to hunt and quenched his thirst with water from the local spring, which was named Królewskie in his honour. There are over 200 species of birds living in the Kozienicki Landscape Park, and you should know that even the most reluctant ornithologists have been overcome by an encounter with a bittern, bullfinch, lesser spotted eagle, tawny owl or kingfisher. So there is a good chance that you too will discover the bird lover in you.
Come and take a breather in the forest, listen to the trees sing, collect a bunch of boletus mushrooms, catch up on your sleep, unfasten the reality roller skates and switch on the relaxation mode.
On 70 m² each of your four-person team will find a cozy place to relax. You can sleep for the whole time in one of the two bedrooms in the attic: the first with a large double bed, the second with two single beds. Through the large windows in the bedroom you can admire the spectacles of the rising and setting sun every day. If you prefer to sleep late without any disturbances, peace of mind - we have taken care of the curtains that will separate you from the morning rays. There is also a toilet in the attic.
On the ground floor, you will find a living room with a kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower and an exit to the terrace with lounge furniture, where extended parties often take place. Behind the house we have prepared a place for a bonfire, there is also a hammock for those who like to swing with a view of the dancing trees.
Whatever you want! On the ground floor there is a kitchenette, where you can conjure up both small and large dishes. At your disposal there is a large fridge with a freezer, a gas stove, an oven, a microwave, a pressure coffee maker (obviously) and an electric kettle. We have also taken care of basic spices, so you can go all out. There are no restaurants nearby, but there are a few shops, so it is worth being safe and taking at least one fellow traveler who likes to stir the pots :) Ultimately, a microwave or a campfire diet come to the rescue (we provide the necessary equipment and wood for the campfire). We believe that you will manage!
Well, it's best to do nothing. We created this place with relaxation and peace in mind. Once you've killed all the bugs, tried every mattress, tested every patio chair, checked out what it's like to spend a day in a hammock, and really don't know what to do next, we recommend: - playing an ornithologist. Our facility is located within the Natura 2000 "Ostoja Kozienicka" special bird protection area, on the border with the planned Natura 2000 "Puszcza Kozienicka" habitat area and in the buffer zone of the Kozienicki Landscape Park. The park is home to over 200 species of birds (including the lesser spotted eagle, kingfisher and a very rare species - the little bittern). The park is also home to moose, deer, wild boars, beavers and a large population of dormice. You can meet several species of bats and mud turtles here. - go on a rafting trip down the picturesque Radomka River. We offer the possibility of renting kayaks (outside our facility) and organizing a rafting trip. This is an ideal opportunity to discover the charms of nature and spend time actively on the water.
- dip your feet (and more) in the Brzeźniczki Backwaters in the middle of the Kozienicka Forest.
- drop by Kozienice and see the Palace with a stud farm.
- attend the Baked Potato Festival in September in Ludwików.
- see the "Decapitation of Death", which takes place on the Jedliński Market Square on the last Tuesday of carnival. This is a unique spectacle, in which numerous costumed people take part (only men, who also play female roles).
What’s there for children?
The kids have a large area to romp around in, climb, play tag, make mud dumplings and acorn figures. In our forest, they have everything they lack in the city right under their noses. In the evenings, they carve sticks for a bonfire, bake potatoes in their jackets, and then fall asleep the first time they touch a pillow.
What’s there for employees?
For those who have thrown in the towel on their vacation, we have internet that can handle even videoconferencing. Feel free to take your work to the forest! You can work at a table in the cottage or on the terrace (we personally prefer this option).
