At first glance, Masuria, at second, Tuscany, and this is our flat-as-paper Masovia. Just 40 minutes from Warsaw, there is a hill smelling of acacias, which basically gives the lie to the previous sentence. Because how is a hill in Masovia? Well, it happens, like a lottery ticket. We got lucky, so we decided to use it. We planted vines, moved a wooden house from 1923 here and renovated old farm buildings. It took us, a trifle, 20 years. We pampered, planted, weeded, mowed and arranged. So that now you can share our 4 ha farm with us.
We give you exclusively a beautiful brick house with 4 bedrooms, for 10 adults. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, for greater comfort. To make it as pleasant as doughnuts in butter, we will serve breakfast full of local products every day. We will also recommend a friendly stable, a great photographer for a photo session in nature, tell you where you can pick mushrooms blindly and where to sunbathe on a pier. And all this is only 40 minutes from Warsaw. Let the willow alley lead you to Akacjowe Wzgórze.
The house has 3 double rooms and 1 quadruple room, each with its own bathroom.
Two double rooms have single beds, one double bed. The quadruple room has a double bed and two single beds. In addition, there is a living room with dining area, kitchen, toilet, fireplace.
The house can accommodate a maximum of 10 people.
Let us treat you to breakfasts (in the form of a buffet) made from local ingredients. We focus primarily on quality and excellent taste, which is why we pay great attention to what we feed our guests. Just look at our garden - the beds are bending under the bounty of crops.
For those willing, we will also organize themed dinners and provide full board.
You won't find a TV here, but we have a collection of amazing books waiting to be read at home. In the valley, below the hill on which the house is located, there is a place for a bonfire and a watering hole for wild animals - our regular guests. So you can take binoculars and watch roe deer and deer from the windows of the house, you can listen to the wildlife by the bonfire or go for a walk straight through the field. Maybe you will manage to reach the fork of the Narew and Bug? The rivers are about 3 km away.
We are located near the White Forest, surrounded by forests, old willows, and in spring - acacias. The White Forest is an amazing place for running and walking, and the surrounding bicycle routes run through beautiful forests, meadows and along the bank of the Narew. If you are a fan of road cycling, there are also many great, empty and even asphalt roads in the area.
Nearby is also our friendly stud farm Stajnia Hetmanówka, where Karolina will take care of you - a girl with a great passion for animals, but also photography! If you wish, you can arrange with her not only for horse riding, but also for a photo session in nature.
Kayaking trips are organized on the nearby rivers. It is better to avoid Zegrze, because it is known that the entire capital is drawn there, but the wild parts of the Stary Bug river, Lake Przerwaniec, or the old Wieprz riverbed are places that will not disappoint you. Interestingly, the Warsaw "water tram" reaches Serock (5-6 km from us), so if you insist, you can get to us from the capital on bikes across the river!
Of course, it is also worth seeing:
- Stawinoga Nature Reserve, where you can see birds that you have never heard of, such as curlews, corncrakes, common moorhens, green crakes, spotted crakes, water warblers, reed warblers, sedge warblers, marsh warblers, bluethroats, red-tipped tit, redshank and common sandpipers, snipes, black-tailed godwits.
- Szaniawski Gorge Reserve - you can get here by bike, because the gorge is on the route of the yellow bike trail - Serocki trail. There is a forgotten park with the remains of the Szaniawski manor house by the gorge. The house of the famous writer stood on the banks of the Narew, and later of Lake Zegrze, and unfortunately burned down seven years after the writer's death.
- Bug and Narew from a bike perspective - choose the blue eastern trail Łacha-Łacha. The route is 17.8 km long and is incredibly picturesque. It runs through forests, along rivers, and you can join it from Popowo.
