Slowly, i.e. slowly. But also – according to your will. As you wish. Not as your mother-in-law, neighbor and Instagram mindfulness trainer told us. Not as trends dictate, and not as all your friends from work do. Spend this vacation as you like. Do you want to lock yourself in a house and play board games for 4 days? You're welcome. Do you need a cozy hideaway to sleep in and hike in the mountains all day? Here it is. Or maybe you need to lock your apartment behind you and come alone to lie in a hammock in silence? We're already preparing fresh bedding. If you want to train yourself to do things your own way, you can only do it in Wolimierz. This picturesque village attracts those who, instead of following the crowd, preferred to find their own way of life. Artists, travelers and those who preferred a slower pace come here. From them, you can learn peace and doing things in a way that will make your head feel calm and your heart feel spring. In the village we have the excellent Zajazd u Basi, a gallery and workshop, the Klinika Lalek Theatre, and sometimes the neighbours open a food truck and serve pancakes. The only thing missing is you.
Our less waste house reflects the artistic spirit of Wolimierz. We focused on ecological solutions: the house is wooden, plasters and clay paints, we used linseed oil for finishing.
The house has 2 bedrooms - one on the ground floor, the other on the mezzanine, a small bathroom and a spacious, high open space with a kitchen, dining room and living room with access to the terrace.
The house is surrounded by old trees and a meadow, and at the same time in the village. At your disposal there is a garden with hammocks, deckchairs and a place to light a fire.
We invite you to use the well-equipped kitchen and slow cook with local ingredients. You can also cook something straight from the fire – a grill and fireplace are available.
If you want to take a break from cooking, there is Zajazd u Basi in the village with home cooking, and if you are lucky, you can also catch delicious French Crepes from the food truck of the neighbors from Czerwony Dom. A wider range of restaurants is available in the surrounding towns, primarily Świeradów Zdrój.
First of all, we invite you to get bored :) You can do it in several ways - in winter, lying on the sofa and looking at the fire in the fireplace, in summer, lying on the grass, deck chairs or hammocks and looking at the mountains, meadows or the sky (especially recommended at night).
If you feel like doing something, you can light a fire, reach for one of the many inspiring books, wander the village in search of the most beautiful half-timbered house and contact with the locals. Wolimierz is a very unusual Polish village - with scattered buildings, many beautiful half-timbered houses, but above all with a wonderful, friendly, diverse, artistic community of refugees from Polish and European cities.
In the immediate vicinity there are many tourist, hiking and cycling routes (road and Singletrack), ski slopes and cross-country trails in winter, and in summer beautifully situated mountain lakes, streams and waterfalls.
Additionally, the surrounding towns are architectural gems, and as if that was not enough, we are just a stone's throw from the Czech Republic and two from Germany.
What’s there for children?
You can drop into the land of imagination at the Wolimierz Station, where you can see huge puppets and scenography elements from the Klinika Lalek theatre performances and use the fantastic playground for wild children (including a zip-line, trampolines, wooden structures and houses).
Harry Potter fan conventions are held in Czocha Castle, you can visit underground tunnels in Geopark Krobica, there is a real mill wheel, a bread oven and devil's legends in Czarci Młyn, and Ewa and her wonderful horses are waiting for you in Gierczyn. In Świeradów you will find three observation towers, including one (Sky Walk) with a downhill slide, and educational paths (e.g. to Zajęcznik). In addition, in Wolimierz itself and the surrounding area there are several places offering regular handicraft or nature workshops (Izerska Majstrownia, Szklana Kuźnia, Izerska Łąka, Pracownia Piernikowa). As if that wasn't enough, there are plenty of child-friendly, not too demanding trails for both hiking and cycling (e.g. Singletrack and Pumptrack for the little ones).
What’s there for employees?
For those working we have a table, fast Wi-Fi and peace and quiet :)
