At a glance
Coincidences happen, and we happened upon one that changed our lives. In 2016, "Wodnik" – a holiday resort with a long tradition – was for sale in Spore. It was also by chance that we ended up in Spore at the same time. These two coincidences gave birth to our dream of creating a place that would remind us of our childhood, where Sunday would last forever, without the specter of Monday. A village within a village. Now "Wodnik" is completely different, because we had a different vision for it. We searched all over Poland for old houses that we would restore and build in Przysiółek. There are now eight houses, each with a porch, each charming, twinkling with colorful shutters. There's also an inn where we serve delicious seasonal food, a multi-purpose house (for conferences, parties, and workshops), and our own Toy Museum.
We dream of you spending time here in a leisurely manner. That you'll sit on a bench on the porch and chat with each other and your neighbors. That you'll play outdoor games together in our museum, that you'll hop on your bikes and jump in your kayaks. That you'll organize a picnic and use the sauna. And then we'll be able to welcome you to the inn as a rich cottage can. Goose, cod, or blood sausage with homemade pasta, żurek (sour rye soup), bone-in pork chop, or cold cucumber soup. In life there is a time for creation and a time for using what we have created. The last few years have been a time for creation for me. At the same time, creation was the fulfillment of dreams. A return to my childhood days. I grew up in the countryside and after 44 years I returned to the countryside. Not the one I grew up in, but the one I remember from the old days. And maybe the houses are a bit different, but the atmosphere is the same. Like 50 years ago on Sunday. The atmosphere of relaxation after a hard week of work. Not in front of the TV or computer, but surrounded by nature and friendly people.
And it is to this place, my fulfilled dreams, that I would like to invite all those tired of everyday effort. In Przysiółek Spore you will learn what true relaxation is. In the company of beautiful flowers and butterflies, surrounded by wonderful nature...
I love eating. and I believe that it is one of life's pleasures that we cannot deny ourselves. But you have to eat deliciously, healthily and in good company. That is why the village that I created could not lack an inn. I guarantee that you will fall in love with the cuisine we will offer you. It will be a time to return to childhood with a touch of modernity.
Memories are the essence of our lives. Who among us does not recall childhood with nostalgia. You will be able to return to those times in our Toy Museum. Many will have tears in their eyes...
