There is a place in Masuria where horses and cows reign supreme. They have hundreds of hectares of pastures to graze and romp around, rivers to wade in and lakes to swim in. And next to them are us - silent observers and admirers. We live here in Gałkowo in symbiosis with fauna and flora, far from shopping malls, cinemas, museums, concerts. We have other attractions. Krutynia for kayaking, lakes for swimming, beaches for sunbathing, forests for mushroom picking. In addition, for dinner we walk to the "Potocki" restaurant, located in a beautiful wooden manor house, and right next door, in the Ferenstein stud farm, we watch horse competitions, look into the stalls and stroke the horses' noses, and then we walk to the old Evangelical cemetery, hidden in the forest.

When we don't feel like going anywhere, we stay at our Przystanek. At the end of the village, in our meadow with two houses. The smaller one - for seven people and the larger one for twelve, will allow you to sleep comfortably, sunbathe in the garden and take a nap in a hammock. We will be happy to share with you our silence, the smell of autumn, the sky full of stars, Masuria. Stop at our stop, we invite you.

We have two houses on our meadow - a larger Guest House and a smaller Prairie House. They are placed on the plot so that they do not look into each other's windows and have plenty of air between the buildings. On our premises there are also hammocks, a wooden swing and a place for a bonfire. 

The Guest House has 4 bedrooms (bed layout 2, 1+1, 2+1, 2+1), 2 bathrooms with showers, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room and a large covered terrace. Here we can comfortably accommodate 10 people in the bedrooms and 2 on the sofa in the living room.  

The Prairie House has 2 bedrooms with 5 sleeping places (bed layout 2, 2+1), a living room with a fold-out 2-person sofa, a kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower and a terrace.

Just 400 meters from us is the renowned Potocki restaurant, and 2.5 km away in Ukta is the excellent Słowiczka restaurant, as well as several restaurants in Ruciane-Nida. Of course, you can prepare your own meals in our homes, as we have fully equipped kitchens.

Within a 2-3 km radius, there are numerous kayak launching points on the picturesque Krutynia River. The Krutynia flows through a landscape, water, and forest reserve encompassing three municipalities: Piecki, Mikołajki, and Ruciane-Nida. Its length is 99 km, and its basin area is 638 km².

The nearest area is the Ferenstein stud farm, located 400 meters from us. You can pet the horses there, admire them running through the pastures, and learn to ride. Throughout the year, the stud farm hosts various events and equestrian competitions, such as Midsummer's Eve and Hubertus.

The nearby forests are rich in mushrooms: chanterelles, boletes, and boletes – just bend down and you'll find a side dish for your scrambled eggs in your basket.

Within a 4-10 km radius, you'll find several lakes, such as the quiet and intimate Mokre Lake. It is located on the Krutynia kayaking trail, within the Masurian Landscape Park. Three nature reserves surround the lake: Królewska Sosna, Zakręt, and Krutyna. Another lake that is a haven for water sports is Lake Nidzkie. Its islands are undoubtedly its main attraction, the most beautiful of which are Płaski Ostrów, Mały Ostrów, Kępa, and Kalinowy Ostrów.

There are also two ski slopes nearby: GołębiewSKI in Mikołajki and the G4W Ski Resort in Mrągowo, located on the peninsula of Lake Czos.

A few kilometers from Gałkowo, in the small village of Pranie, lies one of the most famous forester's lodges in the history of Polish literature. It was here, from 1950 to 1953, that Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński stayed, and it was here that he wrote such works as "The Olsztyn Chronicle" and "Wit Stwosz" and "Niobe." In 1980, the poet's museum was opened in the forester's lodge. In addition to a beautiful interactive exhibition, it also hosts numerous concerts and poetry evenings. It's a must-see in our region.

Beaches, lakes, kayaking, a ropes course, the Wild Animal Park in Kadzidłowo, Galindia, and in winter – two ski slopes and an ice rink. We have children's corners with games, toys, books...
