At a glance
Spokojowisko was once a meadow. After more than 40 years without human intervention, today you'll find a forest with trees over 20 meters tall, home to a multitude of birds. At the end of the plot, down a small valley, a brook (isn't that a beautiful word?) flows lazily. And how can you not fall in love with such a place? Here, the dream of a perfect hideaway for respite from a busy life isolated from nature was born. Adamów-Wieś, the village where our cottages are located, has its own summer resort character and unique microclimate. Hence the name – a health resort with peace, or Spokojowisko.
Two cottages await you, Czajka and Sójka, each with different design elements. Initially, we wanted to reference the local architecture of the communist-era Brda River summer cottages, but our plans were thwarted by… the current permissible roof pitch. Ultimately, it was a good thing, as it resulted in a unique design – a shape best compared to an inverted diamond. Its walls don't rise perpendicularly from the ground, but have an obtuse angle. The design is subtle, but the lack of straight walls in the center and the large windows visually open up the space. You almost feel as if the forest is bursting in. What does that feel like? You'll have to see for yourself.

Hello! This is Karolina and Maciek. We live in Warsaw, to which we are strongly attached, but Spokojowisko is our place of escape for a breath of peace, to which we also invite you. The idea was born naturally. We were stimulated by remote work, involuntary scrolling and the hustle and bustle of the city. Additionally, with the pace of today's life and detachment from everyday contact with nature, we found ourselves in a situation of constant fatigue, mainly mental. We functioned from vacation to vacation. Only, summer vacations and a winter trip were not enough to recharge the batteries. Short, regular trips out of town allowed us to clear our heads, relax and focus on ourselves. Thanks to them, we gained strength and energy to continue working, or at least we worked listening to the birds. And of course, you can go to Masuria or the proverbial Bieszczady Mountains, but it's a few hours in the car. We needed something closer to home, easily accessible, within an hour's drive "door to door". And so the idea was born to make holiday cottages for ourselves and others, where peace reigns and to heal ourselves with this peace, hence Spokojowisko.
