Sometimes things happen in life that change your view of the world around you, and at that moment you tell yourself that you want to do something to help this world.... To make the people around you feel better, and so that together you can make the world a better place. For me, this wish began to come true when our century-old barn stood in my way. It dates back to 1910 and belonged to the property of the important princely family of Liechtenstein. Even though the Barn was completely devastated, it stood there proudly and firmly... you could "lean" on it with confidence. And anything in life that maintains an upright stance despite adversity is worth bringing back to life..

We tried to conjure up what was given to us - the space that surrounds us. We enchanted it with the warmth of the tall blue tiled stove, where books are wonderfully read on a comfortable couch under a soft blanket right next door. We also enchanted it with a generous table in the middle, where everyone can meet and laugh while playing games, meditate over a cup of fragrant herbal tea or maybe even create something together. Why not? And there can be no shortage of scents that will remind you of the warmth of home - even with a nice surprise upon arrival... Whether you arrive romantically as a couple, or as a group of six good beings.
The magical oak in the garden and the fairy-tale forest behind the Barn will do the rest of the magic for us. You don't have to do anything at all, just allow yourself to slow down, relax and throw the weight of your worries off your shoulders.

Years ago, my husband and I bought an old barn. We actually discovered the house we live in now - and right across from it was this old barn staring at us. Instead of a floor, there was rammed earth with straw and gates on both sides of the barn, because horses and carriages used to be stabled here. The exact year the barn was built dates back to 1910, during the reign of the noble Prince Johann II. The Good of Liechtenstein, whose legacy we greatly value.  From the very beginning, I had a vision in my head of how we would transform this space and what we wanted it to become - and not even the demanding renovation took away from it. The goal was simply to make the Barn a place for rest - like a well for someone who is very thirsty, a place to escape to when you need to clear your head from an excess of thoughts, or a smile or a hug from a loved one when you need it most... A place where you can return to yourself.

Who is welcome here?
- couples for a romantic stay (then the entire Barn is just for you)
- groups/families of up to 6 people for perfect relaxation
- or also for creative workshops
- intimate family weddings of up to 30 people, when you can entrust the preparations to us - symbolic baptisms Want to know more? What will you find inside the Barn?
- through the glass doors from the garden you can get directly to the ground floor with a generous living area, a blue tiled stove with a sofa and a huge table - so big that it will undoubtedly be enough for all your board games or creative needs
- on the ground floor there is also a kitchen area where you will find everything you need, as well as a bathroom with a toilet and a storage space under the stairs
- the stairs lead to the attic to the first floor with three bedrooms.

ATTENTION!
The bedrooms are walk-through, and if it is not cold, our dormouse Cecil works full-time for us :)

In addition, you will also find here...
- a terrace with seating
- a garden with an old oak tree
- a forest right behind the gate
- a sauna
And pack a sweater and thick socks, they may come in handy when sitting in the winter.

In winter you can enjoy it in the Barn and in summer outside in front of the Barn. And for pampering, we recommend a fragrant herbal bath.

Forest therapy (shinrin yoku)
Haven't heard of them yet? So we will tell you that this little miracle comes from Japan. Literally, it could mean "bathing in the atmosphere of the forest". Don't worry, there's no tree-hugging involved (although we certainly won't stop you ;). It would be easiest to describe it with the word walks, or conscious spending of time in nature, in the forest. It is the best medicine for the ailments of today's busy times full of stress and heartache. Give it a try, and if you want to know more about forest therapies, don't hesitate to ask.

What next?
You can also follow in the footsteps of the Liechtensteins and discover how their rule shaped the Czech Republic. Around us you will find quite a few things that once belonged to them and which they lovingly cared for. In addition to the forests, it is also worth visiting Šternberk Castle (7 km) or taking a longer trip to the south of Moravia to the Lednice-Valtice area. You can find the Lichtenstein ancestral home in Vranov near Brno. 

If you want to convey to them the experience of staying in nature and sensitivity to it and its inhabitants, you are in the right place. Under the old sprawling oak tree, they can be transported to the world of fairy tales, you can make friends with our naughty Cecil and, in the summer, go together to hunt for treasures and count fireflies in the night forest. 

Work away from gray walls and neon lights overhead - our Barn space will be ideal!
