Quick check

Foxes, hares, roe deer, and even a herd of deer. They are our neighbors. We do not separate ourselves from them, because we try to live wild in the wild Beskid Niski. Our hectare plot is fenced only with a hedge - made of wild roses, dogwoods, maples. And only the bear from Piorun has not yet visited us. But we do spy. The Jesiotrów Moon, Lackowa, the Perseids, the colors of the changing seasons. It is great to observe from our terrace, from the living room, from the kitchen. It is equally good to relax in the 4 bedrooms, play board games at the large table in the dining room, warm your feet after cross-country skiing by the fireplace in the living room. And when it comes to skiing - I have blazed trails, crossed glades and I will tell you one thing - it is worth getting out of breath. For the views, for the empty slopes and for the adventure. The ski room at home is waiting. It's the same with bikes, the area calls for kilometers. Do you prefer to take it slow? I recommend discovering places where life once flourished, and today are only memories of Lemko villages. When you arrive, we will of course not be there, so you have the house for 11 people exclusively.

Are you in? Because we are in over our heads!

There is no romantic story behind “Oko na Lackowej”. We simply wanted to have a house in the mountains, so that we could escape from the big city one day. My name is Małgorzata and I am a scriptwriter, and Piotr is an IT specialist. We were both born in Warsaw. However, we increasingly live in Banica, from where we work remotely. Piotr got involved in carpentry and after hours he makes tables and other wonders in his workshop. I support the dramatic work of an extraordinary local theatre. When we are here, in the midst of this silence and extraordinary nature, every time we say to ourselves: “Okay, this time we are not going back”, but there are still many things that keep us in Warsaw. Apart from that, quite honestly, it is our city, and we also like it very much! So, we wander from the capital to Banica and back, and sometimes we jump out somewhere further, under a tent, for freedom. However, a house is for the lights to be on in the evenings and for the smell of coffee in the mornings. So come! Take care of it, take it over when we are not there and leave your good stories in it.

Where will I sleep?

How do I get there?

Car

  • Our address: Banica 42a, Banica, Low Beskid Mountains, Poland

  • Be careful, because Google Maps likes to lead us to a road that doesn't exist, specifically, it suggests that you'll get to us by a stream. Don't try that, you're doing it. The asphalt road leads all the way to the gate! So, when you get to Banica (the one near Izby), turn right sharply uphill right after the church (orthodox church). When you get to the junction to Krynica, turn left and drive about 800 m downhill. Our house is on the left. In winter, don't turn right right after the church, because this road is not cleared of snow and is slippery. Head straight ahead, and turn right at the end of the village (right after the end of the built-up area sign). After about 800 m, you'll reach our house. It will be on the right. Have chains ready.
