Which of the houses from “Harry Potter” would you be sorted into? The brave and honest Gryffindor with a lion as its emblem or the hardworking and loyal Hufflepuff with a badger? Because we propose the creation of a fifth house for those who excel in slow relaxation. Their dormitory opens its doors in the Owl House. Built in 1825, the former inn now welcomes adepts of the art of relaxing in their own way, spending long hours in the garden and practicing morning yoga. In addition to the ability to enjoy small things and the beauty of nature, they are not lacking in curiosity about the world. As befits the Jizera Foothills, the 200-year-old house is located among castles, palaces and other historical treasures. There is so much to discover here! Instead of playing Quidditch, we feed goats, from whose milk you can eat fresh cheese for breakfast. There is no obligation to participate in any of the activities, because Dom pod Sową is an intimate agritourism farm, where guests, like our cats, go their own way. However, if you have gathered a group of wizards who would like to practice yoga, lomi lomi or dance together, you can also rent Dom pod Sową in its entirety (we can accommodate up to 16 people). We will cook you delicious veggie meals and tell you what to visit in the area. The magical and historical Pogórze Jizera is waiting for you.
Our agritourism has 4 rooms:
- yellow: 5 single beds, bathroom;
- green: 2 single beds and 1 double bed (total 4 people);
- blue: 2 single beds and 1 double bed (total 4 people), bathroom;
- violet: 3 single beds, private bathroom outside the room.
A fully equipped kitchen with a dining room is at your disposal if you would like to prepare your own meals.
In the house you will also find an 80 m² room ideal for yoga workshops, massage courses, group development trips, etc. The room is heated and has a sound system.
We will gladly serve you delicious homemade breakfasts. We have our own eggs, sourdough rye bread, goat cheese in oil, smoked goat cheese or milk. Of course, fresh vegetables, vegetable pastes or cottage cheese.
On site, we recommend simple pleasures: you can relax in the garden, go for walks along a dirt road to the forest, feed goats and other farm animals, have a barbecue... This is the quintessence of a slow holiday, during which you do absolutely nothing, and you can enjoy the beauty and peace of the surroundings.
And if you want to do some sightseeing and get to know the nature and culture around us, nothing could be simpler. The historically richest region of Lower Silesia will probably delight every tourist. In the immediate vicinity you can visit the land of Extinct Volcanoes, and just a dozen or so kilometers away you will find the Polish Hogwarts, i.e. Czocha Castle. We have a good collection of old walls and medieval stories here. Go to:
- Grodziec Castle,
- Płakowice Palace - the same owner as Rząsina Palace,
- Brunów Palace,
- Medieval Knights' Tower in Siedlęcin - the Agricultural Market is held here every Saturday,
- Rajsko Palace in Leśna,
- Lenno Palace in Wleń,
- Palace complex in Łomnica,
- Charming town of Lubomierz from the film "Sami swoi",
- Brunów Palace,
- Historic railway bridge over Lake Plichowickie.
To Świeradów for skiing with a chairlift for skiers, and in the summer season to Lwówek Śląski for the "Lwówek Agatowe Summer", the largest mineralogical event in Poland, where stone collectors from all over Europe come. The calendar of events also includes the Days of Bolesławiec - a large annual event lasting several days with bazaars, concerts and parties until dawn. In addition, there are kayaking trips on the Bóbr, bicycle routes, landscape parks and hiking trails.
