Ahoy from Cieszyn. A city founded by three brothers – Leszek, Cieszek and Bolek. Divided by two countries – Poland and the Czech Republic. A city where you can see the Rotunda of St. Nicholas live. Yes, exactly the one that appears on every twenty-zloty coin. It is here, in an over-hundred-year-old modernist tenement house, on the Cieszyn market square, that we bought an apartment that reflects our fascination with long journeys. There is a bathroom like from a Moroccan hammam, a four-poster bed, a living room with a home cinema and a sauna hidden in a large hall. Here you can listen to music from vinyl, pop out to a teahouse in Cieszyn's Venice, work in silence and go to the Main Beskid Trail.

Judy Garland's singing (from the gramophone) will be accompanied by the creaking of the floor, but such are the charms of apartments with soul.

The apartment is 120 m2, has high ceilings and beautiful double doors leading to the rooms.

It will be very comfortable for a couple here, although we counted seven sleeping places. There is a bedroom with a four-poster bed, which can be entered from the large hall, but also from the room next door. This room is intended for work, but it also has a futon, a Japanese mattress on which you can sleep.

In the living room there is a double sofa bed. There is also a projector for evening film screenings, a record player, good sound system, books, chess.

In the bathroom there is a bathtub (double), there is also a shower.

In the kitchen there is everything you need for cooking, there is also a round table with chairs and a swing.

From the hall you can also enter the sauna.

In addition to several great restaurants in the area, we have a well-equipped kitchen.

A great place where you can forget about the existence of time is the Laja Tea Room, on Castle Hill. It is a meeting place, an art zone and, above all, a kingdom of tea. Homemade cakes and toasts are also waiting for you.

Oh no, unless you feel like it. Then you can stay in your apartment, listen to music from vinyl, read books in the bathtub, jump into a sauna or watch films on a projector.

In the area you can ride horses, sail, walk and ski down the mountains, not only on skis, but also on a bike. We highly recommend taking a walk around Cieszyn, stopping by the Rotunda of St. Nicholas (the one on the reverse of the 20 złoty banknote) and crossing the bridge to the Czech Republic. You can also climb to the top of the Piast Tower and admire the panorama of the city and the Beskids in the background. Be sure to also walk to Przykopa Street, to the Cieszyn Venice. A canal called Młynówka runs there. The houses standing there were built in the 18th and 19th centuries, and originally they were inhabited by tanners, blacksmiths and weavers.

We have beautiful Beskid trails here, including the Main Beskid Trail. Apart from that, we will also recommend a trip to Mała and Wielka Czantoria, Równica and Orłowa, and the blue J. Galicz trail.

From Ustroń, you can also take a walk to Źródełek Karola, with healing water, and to the Vistula River. A whole host of special events are organised in the vicinity of Ustroń, from summer and winter sports competitions to traditional, folk city events. The most popular are: Mini Reggae Fest, Dożynki and all kinds of ski competitions. In Ustroń itself, you can visit a small but beautiful market square, drink water in the water pump room, go down the toboggan run from Czantoria.

In winter, we will recommend Palenica and the ski complex on Czantoria - there is a cable car and a real slope here. We will send cyclists along the International Greenways Krakow - Moravia - Vienna Cycling Trail and the blue Vistula Cycling Route.

The apartment has a walk-through work room. There is a desk, great internet, printer.
