Hello, this is Marcin and Dominika, the Hosts of the palace where you will feel at home. Instead of Gryffindor or Slytherin, the Sorting Hat drew us a neoclassical palace from the 18th century. In 2002, my mother, a retired Warsaw operetta singer, bought the ruins of the Knobelsdorff family estate along with 5 hectares of the palace park. Over the years, piece by piece and within her means, she renovated the building, and believe me, there was more work than if we wanted to build this palace from scratch. In 2020, I took over the estate from my mother and, together with my wife Dominika and our daughter Klara, we rolled up our sleeves. We managed to replace the window frames, roof, floors, clean and develop the park and walking paths. We also fulfilled our dream of 5 family apartments, a café and a pottery studio.
Today, we can happily say: “Come and giggle at Gichach”. Let's giggle together. With local wine by the bonfire, during pottery workshops, classical-sport archery lessons or a trip to local monuments, with me as your guide. Let yourself be pampered by the silence and deckchairs in the garden, a fresh fruit tart, great coffee and free time. Even parents of toddlers will have 10 minutes of peace to enjoy the luxury of warm coffee. We have animators in the Palace, and a nanny will take care of the youngest children. In general, in Chichy we love our little guests and our little guests love us. How do we know that? Because school and kindergarten groups very often use our attractions. We have been visited by over 8,000 children of different ages, and their satisfaction is like the Order of the Smile for us. Our Palace is, contrary to appearances, cozy and has a homely atmosphere. We run it as a family and that is how we want to welcome you. We have 5 apartments for 5-6 people, from 50m2 to 80m2. With a view of the palace gardens, landscape park, pond.
Each apartment has a double bed and 2-4 single beds (with the possibility of joining), each apartment has its own bathroom, work space or living room, if you expect privacy and do not want to spend time in common areas.
The palace bar offers unlimited coffee and tea. We have delicious Italian coffee that will satisfy even the biggest coffee lovers.
The restaurant is available only to hotel guests, so you can enjoy peace, quiet and relax at any time.
If you love art and crafts, our palace has a pottery studio, where you can create your own unique work. Classes are individual and group, everyone will find something for themselves. In the summer we run workshops on classic-sport archery with elements of meditation, which will allow you to immerse yourself even more in the natural world around us. If you feel like taking a walk, our landscape park and its magical old trees will meet your expectations.
We serve you breakfasts in the price of accommodation, and dinners for those who wish.
Coffee and tea are available at any time. The buffet is located in Buduair on the ground floor. We also have a café, which is worth visiting for something sweet. We are specialists in fruit tarts.
Our cuisine is a fusion of Mediterranean and Polish cuisine, you can find here dishes such as lobster risotto with shrimps, free-range chicken breast with chanterelles, shrimps in white wine, delicate salmon fillet baked with lemon, dill and pepper. Italian tomato cream from the Host with mozzarella and basil, aromatic duck broth with homemade dumplings from a family recipe, onion cream or boletus cream. These are just some of our delicious items.
You can stroll like noblemen through the palace park and admire the sculptures, lounge on a deckchair in our large garden or read a book by the pond. However, if you like being active, you couldn't have come to a better place! We have a whole deck of suggestions for you:
- We invite you to workshops in our pottery studio - you will make your own vessel, glaze it, and we will take care of the firing.
- Go with us on a horseback ride in the field or learn to ride a horse in the paddock.
- Practice classical-sport archery with us, we will show you breathing methods.
- Let us talk you into a kayaking trip - don't worry about the organization, we will take care of everything.
- For more peace, head for the forest or the river (Brzeźniczanka). 31% of Lubuskie is all forest. A 5-minute walk separates you from crystal clear water and a guarded beach.
We have a lot of sports equipment at your disposal: cricket, badminton, speedminton, speedball, children's football, inflatable balls, darts.
