I have lived in Buchlovice since I was born. Even though we lived in Prague for a while, our love for the beautiful region and folklore brought us back again. Literally every member of our family, from the oldest to the youngest, likes to sing, dance or play a musical instrument. Folklore flows in our veins, connects us and guides us - like a firefly. But you can come to us not only for folklore. In addition, to the folklore festivals and feasts, we will add the opportunity to relax in the House behind the Boxwood. We used to constantly pass by it on our trips to the forest. It stands at the end of the town, the very last one, and is surrounded by a magical garden. When it became ours, we let it tell its stories and revealed what was hidden under the layer of plaster, giving new life to the original furnishings. We filled it with joy and laughter and we invite you to enjoy it here too.

To make it easier for you, we will welcome you with some goodies or a fragrant homemade bun that will melt in your mouth. You will find sourdough resting in the fridge, so you can try baking bread with your own hands. And even in a special mold from our Buchlovice ceramic workshop Kampanela. You can eat everything in the garden corner, in a hammock or even directly under the old chestnut tree. You will be accompanied by the croaking of frogs and private concerts of crickets from the exclusive front row. In the summer, complement it with running barefoot through the garden and the surrounding meadows below Buchlov Castle, tasting sweet figs plucked straight from the tree, nuts that the squirrels may share with you... And even the night sky and sleeping under the open sky.
There is no doubt that it is worth slowing down here and enjoying every day to the fullest! Here you can do everything that you have not had time to do before...

The house behind the boxwood is really behind the boxwood. The oldest boxwood in Buchlovice grows in the neighbors' garden and
its trunk reaches a circumference of 2 meters. We believe that ours is its daughter. Who knows whether you will admire it with us thanks to walks along the new alley towards the castle, or whether it will take the form of boxwood brandy or marmalade...   

The house behind the boxwood can accommodate 8 people and has:   
- a veranda with a large window overlooking the garden and a sofa bed

- 3 bedrooms: natural, green and blue (all with double beds for two people and without nets on the windows)

GARDEN   
It is our pride, our family affair. At first, we wanted it to be perfect, with everything that goes with it. But gradually we realized that we needed to cooperate with our forest neighbors. So we are planting fruit trees protected from deer so that you can pick an apple or a pear in the fall (or have some dried goodness under your arm in the winter) and hardy shrubs (blueberries, currants). We gave up on strawberries because the rabbits were always faster than us and we also had to find a different way to make vegetable beds. But you will have somewhere to hide. There is a nice corner for everyone. Hide in a hammock, spread a blanket on the meadow or sit by the pond.  
Here in our garden it is buzzing, alive, bustling, chirping - all the insects and pollinators live here. We think they not only like our garden, but they also like it. It just looks like a real living garden!    

ATTENTION   
If you would like to come to us with your pet, know that the fence around the house and garden is not tight and is sometimes short and not very resistant to dog ingenuity (when they spot a rabbit or a doe) :)

So - the homemade treats and buns we mentioned - fresh, fragrant, filled - will be waiting for your arrival to us. And the same goes for the sourdough, which you definitely don't have to feed, just knead it with flour and bake your own bread (maybe it's your first time). We will also leave you some dried fruit to snack on, we can take care of the homemade eggs and if you want, we can also arrange a wine tasting for you, either using a tasting set or arranging a tasting experience right in the cellar.   

You may want to read books that you never had time for, paint watercolor paintings or just relax in a hammock and listen to the birds chirping. Come… paint, read, bake bread, practice yoga, dry apples, mushrooms, rowanberries, wander, laze around or jump rope…

The garden and the nearby forest provide many opportunities for entertainment for children and adults. There are also various outdoor games available. In case of bad weather, children can have fun in the small play area on the veranda or by watching the meadow and animals coming from the forest.

Or arrange a visit to the Kampanela pottery workshop in advance, whose owners will be happy to show you how such a pottery workshop works, and who knows, maybe you will even spin something together on the potter's wheel?

WIFI internet connection is available. Absolute peace for work and creativity. The veranda, covered terrace or a beautiful corner in the garden can be turned into a study. A portable table is available.
