Coming to Lachówka, in the Żywiec Beskids, can have serious consequences for you. The side effects of your stay may include: falling in love with the old cottage, wanting to move to the wilderness, and after leaving, longing. For the creaking floor, the smell of wood, the omnipresent silence, the warmth of the fireplace, the sight of wild animals approaching the window, and for expeditions into the unknown. However, you are not in danger of overdosing on the larch cottage from 1974. You can use this medicine on a daily basis as many times as you like. If we could, we would write you a prescription for stays in Lachówka. For bathing in the stream flowing along the border of the plot, for walks to the student hostel on the slopes of Solnisko, for hammocks under a cherry tree and ski touring under the house. Take your favorite people and see how you live in a house that limits stimuli to a minimum.
PS You can only get to Lachówka by car with a 4x4 drive, because it has to cope with the Beskid mud. However, you can park your car in the village - at the entrance to the trail, 800 m from the house, or at the OSP - 1.5 km away. Welcome to a larch house from 1974 built in the tradition of good, old carpentry at 533m above sea level. We give you complete freedom over the house and large garden. It will be comfortable here, for example, for 6 adults and 2 small children.
On the ground floor there is a corridor, a chest on which you can sit and put on your shoes, a descent to floor -1, where there is a bathroom, a utility/workshop room and a room where a sauna is being built.
On the ground floor:
- Living room with a corner sofa and a fireplace that heats the entire house (hot air distribution), next to the fireplace there is a chest with a single mattress.
- Fully equipped kitchen with a tiled stove, which creates an amazing atmosphere and warmth on colder days, a dining room connected to the kitchen, a large table for 10 people, an additional standing tiled stove, a small sofa.
Level -1:
- Bathroom with shower and underfloor heating.
On the 1st floor:
- Two bedrooms with double beds and non-folding sofas.
- The third bedroom is being renovated (an additional bathroom will be built there), so we do not officially make it available, but if necessary, you can use the two single beds there.
The Lachówka still has many imperfections related to its age and long-term use, but we are constantly working to raise the standard and comfort of the apartment.
Unfortunately, due to allergies, we cannot accept cats under our roof. However, we welcome dogs with open arms, at no extra charge.
We are not on site, so we do not prepare meals for our guests. Dishes can be prepared on a tiled stove. For dinners outside the home, we recommend Beskidzki Raj in Stryszawa and the inns in nearby Zawoja.
We live "on the trail" leading to the "Adamy" shelter under Solnisko. Further on, you can hike to Jałowiec, the Roztoki waterfall, and for the more ambitious, of course Babia Góra, Pilsko, Hala Miziowa and the entire Żywiecki and Makowski Beskids. The neighbors, located about 1.5 km from the cottage, run a farm where you can visit their Alpacas, take them for a walk and feed them, after prior arrangement. For people who like winter swimming, the Kapałowy Potok stream flows on the border of the plot, where you can winter swim in the winter and cool your body in the summer. The house is in the middle of the forest, so generally forest therapy takes place here 24/7. In winter, you can organize a sleigh ride with a horse-drawn carriage, if the conditions are good. In Stryszawa, you can go to the observation tower in Beskidzki Raj and admire the Babia Góra range. They also have a mini zoo (really well organized). Of course, we recommend ski touring near the house, and for the more demanding Pilsko.

What’s there for employees?
There is a large table in the dining room for work, and a smaller table the size of a desk in one of the bedrooms. So far, my friends who work remotely have not complained about the quality of the internet, which is a big surprise to me that it is so good.
