Luska the cat was included in the package with the house we bought a few years ago. She may not hear well, but she can easily locate any pair of hands to pet, just like our 3 happy dogs. The history of this place dates back over 100 years: it was supposedly built by a German who developed the technology of glass and crystal production in our region. Many years later, the house came into the hands of Krystyna - the previous owner, who meticulously bought antiques that now fill the spaces of the guesthouse. In turn, for over 5 years, we have had the honor of renovating and refreshing her "loot" along with the entire building, with our own hands, putting our heart and soul into it. In addition to the smell of the forest, our guests can feel the atmosphere of an old house full of nooks and crannies here and everyone repeats that they feel like they are visiting family. Jazz is playing in the dining room, books are waiting in every corner, and we serve you home-made breakfasts, the obligatory element of which are our signature pancakes. Straight from the garden you will set off through the forest onto the trail, a short trip will separate you from the magical Międzygórze, and in the summer from the reservoir in Stara Morawa. If you are looking for accommodation for your family or a group of friends, do not hesitate - we will host you for all (w)oods!
There are 6 rooms in total in the house, each with a private bathroom.:
– in Bukowy there are 2 double beds,
– in Jastrzębi 1 double bed and 2 single beds,
– in Kasztanowy there are 5 single beds, of which 1 for a person up to 160 cm tall (it is simply shorter),
– in Sowi we have 1 double bed in one room, 2 single beds in the other room and 1 single in the passage room,
– in Miedziany there are 3 single beds,
– in Sosnowy we have 3 passage rooms, in which we have 2 single beds, then 1 double bed and 1 bed for a child up to 150 cm tall.
Additionally, Bukowy and Jastrzębi have a shared balcony (the rest of the rooms do not have balconies).
Guests can also use the living room (we call it the playroom) with sofas, armchairs and a table, the dining room and the guest kitchen, if you prefer to cook for yourself.
At your disposal will be a large shared kitchen, equipped with all the necessary equipment (frying pans, pots, dishes, etc.).
You will also have the opportunity to buy breakfasts, which will consist of, among others, fresh bread, a platter of cheeses, cold cuts and fresh vegetables (in late spring and summer we serve vegetables with fruit from our own garden), cottage cheese with chives or homemade fish paste (from smoked fish straight from a neighbor's farm). Additionally, eggs in various forms every day - fried on toast or scrambled, hard-boiled with mayonnaise (we buy eggs from a friendly neighbor from the neighboring village). Pancakes with vanilla cheese and jam or in summer with freshly blended fruit from the garden will be a must on the tables. In addition, a jug of tea, coffee from a drip coffee maker and water with lemon/mint.
The closest to us is Raj Pstrąga, the aforementioned fish farm with ponds, serving dinner dishes - of course trout, fish soup and smoked fish reign supreme, but there is also a classic pork chop ;). In addition, the Kaczka i wino restaurant - more elegant, where you can try excellent duck. Also really recommendable is Penzion & Restaurace Celnice, located on the Czech side, where you can try game and classic dumplings.
At the guests' disposal in the garden in the summer - hammocks, a large wooden table where you can eat a meal, deckchairs, badminton equipment, blankets if someone feels like stretching out on the grass with a book. All year round, at the guests' disposal is a grilling hut, with a brick grill, a designated place for a bonfire with benches and plenty of space for children to run around ;).
In the house, in every single nook and cranny you can find books, so readers through and through should be satisfied. In addition, the playroom is equipped with a TV, armchairs, a sofa and a folding table with chairs. Crayons and drawing pads for children, Jenga blocks, a few board games and playing cards for rainy afternoons.
SURROUNDING AREA:
Right behind the house you can get through the forest to the trail to Sowia Kopa and to the viewpoint (literally a 10-minute walk), you can also take a 40-45-minute walk to the shop along the path, if you don't feel like walking through the village. ;) For connoisseurs: in the autumn you can easily pick a small basket of mushrooms in the forest every day.
On the other side of the river, a bit behind the buildings, the trail to Trzy Siostry begins, you can go for a picturesque walk, from the first hill there is a picturesque view of the Sudetes. In good weather you can even see the observation tower on Śnieżnik!
In the summer you can cool off at the Stara Morawa reservoir, where there is a beach, piers and a small catering facility. There is also a Wake Park, where you can also rent a SUP, and in the winter you can go swimming (the brave ones can also try swimming in Biała Lądecka, near the house, but the water there is ankle-twisting even in the summer) – this is in addition to the classic mountain trails, bike trails, winter cross-country ski trails and ski slopes. :)
What’s there for children?
The garden and meadow next to the house are available if the children simply want to run around, pick wildflowers and admire butterflies. ;) In the period of late May and early June, you can also admire fireflies at night! In addition, badminton equipment and a ball. In the house, books, board games, crayons and drawing pads.
What’s there for employees?
Fiber optic internet can work quite well, but finding a place in your home with good coverage is always an added bonus. ;)
