Almost 300-year-old houses have their whims. Who doesn't? We endure them with dignity, because where else would we live on 3 green hectares, where horses, donkeys and sheep of our neighbours walk? Here we have a village in full swing, which we dreamed of when we escaped from the city. Our life has always revolved around food and people, so although its centre is today in Wolimierz, nothing has changed. We still love cooking for others, and we are most pleased with smiling Guests. Someone once wrote that the Red House is above all about the cuisine and people, and it would be hard to disagree. We serve vegetarian breakfasts, about which we hear a lot of nice things, and which have the power to win over strangers. After the first morning, chatting together and even trips, no one is surprised! If you have heard about Wolimierz, you know that there is a unique atmosphere here. The historic village attracts colourful characters and those who like to live their own way. You can get bored, but you don't have to, because you never know who you will meet during your stay. Walks along the trail of old half-timbered houses, trips to castles and fabulous bicycle routes are tempting. The garden with hammocks from which you can watch Stóg Izerski is also tempting. Everything is possible, nothing is necessary. In Wolimierz, everyone does what they like.

We have 2 apartments with bathrooms and 1 double room with bathroom. We usually host about 8-10 people, so it is intimate. After one breakfast, everyone knows each other and chatting together, and even trips, are the norm. On the ground floor there is a common living room with a dining room and a tiled stove. This is the center of the house in winter. And in summer, everyone moves to the terrace in front of the house with a view of Stóg Izerski. Around the orchard, 3 hectares of land and the neighbors' grazing animals. There you can lie on a hammock, deckchair and enjoy the silence.

We serve breakfast for our guests every day. This is probably the main point of your stay with us and something that everyone looks forward to. We cook vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free on request (we then add 25% to the price of the meal). Usually from Thursday to Saturday it is possible to order dinner (soup, main course, dessert, coffee/tea) for PLN 80/person. We do not stick to these days, we adjust depending on how many people are willing on a given day. If you cannot eat with us, Basia will prepare delicious home-made dinners 500 meters from the house.

You don't have to be bored, but you finally can! And our house is perfect for doing nothing. Because we are surrounded by a lot of greenery and animals, Guests like to just grab a book and lie under the apple trees or celebrate meals under the hundred-year-old lime tree. You can also order a massage, go do yoga at our neighbors' or play boules in our garden.

However, if you want to spend your time more actively, no problem. You can jump into the forest, which is right next to the house, and if you come to us in the fall, you will catch full baskets of mushrooms.

There are a lot of Single Track paths around us and this is a great option even for people who have not ridden such routes on bikes before: there are different levels of difficulty, so everyone will find something for themselves. Wolimierz is located 5 km from Świeradów Zdrój, and there are plenty of mountain trails there. You can go to Stóg Izerski, Chatka Górzystów or Sępia Góra. A bit further, about 30 km from us is Szklarska Poręba, and 50 km Karpacz. Kayaking trips are also a stone's throw away, and there are plenty of lakes around.

If you are more interested in sightseeing, the famous Czocha Castle is not far from us, and on the Czech side Frydlant Castle. All this in the summer. In the winter - skiing, skiing, skiing. We have recently got into cross-country skiing. Everyone probably knows Jakuszyce, you can get there in 40 minutes, although we prefer to jump to the Czech Republic, where the trails are just as beautiful and there are a few fewer tourists.

For children, a large area to run around! Horses, donkeys, a cow and the rest of the team. Our son can recommend which trees are best to climb. Many children from the countryside come to us and we know from experience that the best games are those that get your clothes dirty. A few sticks, mud, a sandbox, a goal for the ball and that's enough. On site we have a lot of books and wooden tracks, the installations of which sometimes extend over two floors. You can go for a walk with alpacas or search for minerals, because many places in the area organize such trips. In Liberec, 45 km from us, you will find iQLANDIA - a center of science and entertainment, but in our opinion the most interesting place, if you are looking for good fun for the whole family, is Kulturinsel. It is a large, magical forest with tree houses, animals and mysterious underground tunnels on the border of Poland and Germany, which will absorb you for the whole day.

We don't have a special place in the house designated for work, you can grab your laptop and sit in the garden or by the stove. The internet is fine, but if you need a super fast connection, it may not be able to handle it with more people.
