What are the chances that a girl from Kielce, where witch legends are an everyday occurrence, will find a home on the other side of Europe, at the foot of... the Holy Mountain of Witches? Exactly! You understand that it couldn't have ended any other way.

And that's how I found my place. A 300-year-old stone house. And around it? Almost nothing. And that's good, because you don't need much here. In front of the house there's the ocean, behind the house there's mountains, underfoot there's the desert, next to a palm grove. Plus a terrace, jacuzzi, deckchairs, lots of sun. And wind, but that's just part of the Canary Islands package. A nature reserve separates us from the ocean, so no one can take away our views.

Tindaya is a small village in Fuerteventura, where life flows in rhythm with the phases of the moon and the tides of the ocean. There's a shop, two bars, a restaurant, a square with fiestas, a bus stop and... that's pretty much it. But there are also the best goat cheeses on the island and nights filled with the silence of the desert and an indecently starry sky.

Our house is a place for those who seek peace or adventure. Some admire Mount Tindaya from the terrace, others climb it, and the most impatient catch the wind in their sails and set off on the waves. I invite you to take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. And do it your way.

Our house remembers the times when Fuerteventura was ruled by colonels (so-called Coroneles) delegated by the Spanish king. At that time, the capital of the island was nearby La Oliva, and Tindaya was a farming settlement. Much later, it was meticulously restored by the eccentric Frenchman, Olivier. And today we have created Zenmaya here, a place for those who seek peace and quiet.

The entire house is at your disposal and is suitable for 6 adults. It is a real treat for lovers of history and art, you will find here paintings and sculptures by contemporary Polish artists, which perfectly match this unique place.

The house consists of three spacious bedrooms, each of which has its own bathroom with shower. The L-shaped development plan creates an additional patio in front of the master bedroom, where you will find a jacuzzi. There is also a huge living room, a large, fully equipped kitchen with a dining table and exit to the glass-covered patio, an entrance hall and an additional toilet.

Each bedroom has a 180 cm wide bed. In the two external bedrooms, the beds can be separated into two single beds or an extra bed can be added. For families with children, we have a travel cot, and in exceptional cases we accept 6 adults + 2 children.

The plot of approximately 2000 m² is surrounded by desert, and there are no buildings on three sides of the house. The beautifully lit palm grove adds charm, harmonizing with the house's architecture with its minimalism. From the entrance side, we pass a historic windmill and several neighboring houses, and from the ocean side there is an unlimited view, all the way to the shore 4 km away. The sunsets here are truly amazing!

In Tindaya you will find a few bars, a restaurant, a grocery store and a factory producing the best goat cheese on the island. That's all, but we are so happy about this "so much"!

Our village has preserved its natural character - everything is exactly as it should be. If you feel like cooking, you will find a kitchen on site and you can do your shopping in the local shop. And if you feel like something more sophisticated, we can recommend some nice places on the island.

You can get bored here, but you don't have to. Do you want to relax in the jacuzzi under an indecently starry sky? You're welcome. And if you're looking for adventure, catch the wind in your sails and let yourself be carried away by the adventure.

Here you will find a space to relax - books, albums, audio equipment, and the Internet and TV, although honestly, we recommend trying a digital detox, if you want, we will help you 100%.

If you love silence, be sure to take the opportunity to observe the night sky. Fuerteventura is covered by a "dark sky reserve" and is a great place to admire the stars. Especially the north-western part of the island, where we are located, delights with amazing views.

Additionally, from the windows of the house there is a beautiful view of the Tindaya mountain, worshiped by the Guauchas (native Canarians), which is listed as a national heritage and is a reserve. There are numerous footprints (called "podomorfos") carved in stone, left by the original inhabitants of the island.

And if you feel like a bit of activity, Fuerteventura is the perfect place. Great conditions for surfing, yoga, hiking and water sports - there are plenty of schools in the north of the island. We ourselves love diving, freediving, kitesurfing, and now we are taking up surfing lessons. The area is perfect for this!

The nearest wild beach is 5 minutes by car, and others, which are mainly visited by local surfers, are a maximum of 20 minutes away.

We recommend a thematic board game for the whole family - "Tindaya". You will also find other games and books at home.

In the village of Tindaya, a charming family breeds donkeys and organizes eco workshops and activities for children.
You can also use the professional municipal boules court.

A few kilometers from the house are some of the most beautiful beaches in Fuerteventura. They are surrounded by spectacular rocks and cliffs, but the beaches themselves are sandy and almost empty.

At home, you will find boards for playing on the waves (skimboard and bodyboard).

The ocean can be very treacherous. Please observe the behavior of the "natives" and if you do not see them bathing in a given place, do not enter the water. For swimming / bathing in the open sea, especially with children, we recommend beaches on the east coast (e.g. in the area of Corralejo) or in the town of El Cotillo.

In Corralejo there is a large water park (open in summer), and in nearby La Oliva - a municipal indoor pool. The surrounding towns offer schools for children in all possible water activities - surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, diving.
