The wooden house from 1850 was once the home of Tsarist officials, and today we have created an apartment for those who appreciate history, design and simple country life. Coneflowers and rudbeckia bloom by the wooden fence, a cat basks in the sun on an old tree stump, and bisons graze in the forest. Inside, there are high interiors, a tiled stove, and wooden floorboards. A chrome kettle will shine here, a mid-century bathroom will twinkle with blue tiles there, and Bauhaus accessories will delight the eye. The Białowieża Forest is here, all around, so contact with nature is inevitable. Among the walking trails, we like the one leading to Simona Kossak's Dziedzinka the most. You are also close to the Carska Restaurant in the historic railway station, where you can eat seasonally, tasty and locally. Hide away in the Forest and taste the wild pleasure of being invisible.
In a spacious, 90-meter apartment, which is part of a historic, wooden house from 1850, located in the heart of the historic Dyrekcja Park. The house has 2 bedrooms with double beds, one spacious bathroom with a bathtub and shower, a living room with a dining room, a work corner and a fully equipped kitchen.
High - over three meters interiors, wooden ceilings, a tiled stove create a unique atmosphere. The almost 200-year-old, historic house is built of forest logs and has preserved the original, enfilade layout of rooms remembering the times of tsarist hunting.
We are happy to deliver local honey, cheese (cow and sheep), eggs, fruit and vegetables by prior arrangement – all from trusted suppliers in our area. We live in a nearby village, so we have access to exceptional, fresh produce. Although there are many excellent restaurants in Białowieża, we are happy to share our culinary recommendations from all over the region!
The Białowieża Forest is a great place to observe the changing seasons and feel fully connected to nature. In spring, birdsong resounds, in summer life is full steam ahead, in autumn you can hear the roar of deer, and in winter there is silence, interrupted only by the sounds of a tawny owl or branches breaking under the weight of bison. The peace of this place is often broken by unexpected guests - a lynx, a flock of cranes or howling wolves. This is a place where you can feel the rhythm of nature, which has been going on for thousands of years. The forest offers countless attractions: walks, bison observation, bike trips and forest bathing. You can explore the historical places of Białowieża or simply sit with a book in front of the fireplace and enjoy the silence.
To feel the atmosphere of the forest even better, take Anna Kamińska's book "Simona. The Story of the Extraordinary Life of Simona Kossak" on holiday. If you haven't read this story yet, we're sure you'll be immersed in the adventures of this independent and brave scientist.
What’s there for children?
The house is family-friendly - spacious interiors, a yard overlooking the park and closeness to nature will ensure that the youngest will not be bored. Children can explore the forest, observe animals and enjoy freedom. You can "hunt" for binoculars for bison, look out for woodpeckers and pet village cats basking in the sun.
