Quick check

Hello! They say that whoever has sheep, has what they want. And we have over 500 sheep of the traditional Cakle breed, so we share this goodness. We also have several dozen cows, goats and several shepherd dogs. As befits shepherds! Because for years we have been cultivating traditional shepherding, such as with a free herd and a juhas, we create oscypek, bundz or żentyca, just like 500 years ago, and we share knowledge about the culture and folk of the Żywiec Beskids. Father Józef Tischner used to say that "there you have to bloom, ka grows", and we are from here and we want to develop this region. So we created the Górom Foundation, we save old cottages from oblivion, organize sheep therapy, cheese-making, shepherding, nature, herbal, tissue paper workshops and many other activities. We celebrate redyk, the Dziewięćsił Festival and invite folk bands to our settlement. There is always something going on here, and a new chapter is the cottage on Polana Wspólna.

The cottage is located directly on the red hiking trail, which is part of the Main Beskid Trail - the longest mountain route in Poland. This means that you will not have any neighbors, except for wild animals. But you cannot get here directly by car. You have to leave it at the parking lot 3.5 km below and decide what to do next. Do you walk to the cottage along the picturesque route or use our help to transport you to the cottage? This one has been here for over a hundred years, and we only saved it from ruin and now we are giving it to you. It has a view of Romanka, Rysianka, Przełęcz Babosia. It also has a great terrace, bathroom with shower, kitchen, sofa by the fireplace and two beds on the mezzanine. You can set off straight from the cottage, e.g. to the shelters on Hala Boracza, and go sledding behind the cottage. Beautiful pytomy!

Sometimes we are on-site, sometimes we're not

A passionate, visionary and lover of regional traditions, culture and folklore. For many years I have been involved in gaining knowledge about the life of Żywiec highlanders and saving old wooden cottages from destruction. I focus on building a mini settlement in Cięcina, creating a place full of history and tradition and at the same time modern functionality and openness to what is new. Together with my wife Gabrysia, we founded the Górom Foundation, where we take care of Beskid culture, folk, tradition and nature. I love mountain running, nature and Balkan music.
