At a glance
On the border of Warmia and Mazury there is a clearing in the forest, and on this clearing the Masurian Colony, for spending not only summer camps, but also winter camps and every free day. For a dozen or so years, travelers have been coming here, tired of being constantly on the road, as well as working people who are not afraid of any work. Families drop in, couples stop by, chamber groups sing to the guitar. So we have a bit of a camp atmosphere here, although these are intergenerational colonies and with a schedule of activities that changes, like the seasons. You can watch four horses here, dive into the nearest Pluszne Lake, grab a kayak paddle or the handle of a mushroom basket. Listen in the evening to stories about places that no longer exist, eating Masurian fish by the campfire and toasting with currant wine. Or walk barefoot on fresh snow, wondering whether it is winter swimming or not. To put it briefly and specifically: you can do a lot here. We rent Kolonia Mazurska exclusively for up to a dozen people or as individual rooms, of which there are 5 in total. Take advantage of the shared living room, two terraces and hammocks with pleasure and without hesitation. You can order breakfast from us all year round and use the kitchen.

The story of the Masurian Colony in Mierki begins with a forest and a picturesque clearing that begged for a beautiful setting with a new story. It was for this place that I moved to the forest, and the place rewarded me a hundredfold, pampering me but also rigorously teaching me the things required for a homestead with a small stable in the forest on the very border of Masuria and Warmia, on Lake Pluszne.
