The Tuchola Forest is a quiet and less popular cousin of Masuria. It also has lakes, forests (90% of the Tuchola Forest is made up of trees), great kayaking trips and beautiful bike trails. But instead of a Miss School competition, it wins the nautical olympics. Thanks to the fact that the Tuchola Forest never became fashionable, we can enjoy a tourist-free environment, a small number of buildings and unfenced lakes. Just look at our clearing by the forest. We have hidden 3 mini cottages for couples among the trees, and before your eyes there is the dale and meadows. And then pine trees and lakes. The more popular ones are Wygonin and the quietest in the area - Długie.
In the 24 m2 of the cottages, we have packed everything you need to take a break from everyday life, and even more. There is a bedroom on the mezzanine, a sofa, a kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower, air conditioning and a large terrace. And on it a tub. Apart from that, simple pleasures. Coffee on the terrace, hammock, bonfire, deck chairs. You can go mushroom picking, you can go on a bike trip, watch the sunset over the lake. Then an evening in the tub and that's how it goes. Unhurriedly, simply.
P.S. We invite you to the black and yellow house "Foxy" with your dogs, the other two: Anise and Wasabi are anti-allergic.
Near the forest, overlooking the clearing, there are 3 cottages: Anise, Wasabi and Foxy. Each cottage is designed for two people, has a bathroom with a shower, a kitchenette, two mezzanines with large mattresses and a living room with a sofa. They have terraces with jacuzzi tubs. The cottages are heated and cooled by air conditioning.
Anise: The cottage has two mezzanines with double mattresses 160 cm wide, which are accessed by steep stairs. On the ground floor there is a closed living room with a fold-out sofa, which is an excellent option for people who prefer a separate place to sleep.
The cottage is also equipped with air conditioning and electric heating, so even during hot weather it is pleasantly cool, and on colder days - cozy warmth.
The Anise cottage has two exits - the main one leads to the sunny terrace, where there is a tub, and the second one leads directly to the forest. In the summer, hammocks await you in the forest, ideal for relaxing in the shade of the trees. The terrace is partially covered, which ensures comfort both on sunny days and during rain.
Wasabi: The cottage has two mezzanines with mattresses 160 cm wide. The main mezzanine is accessed via steep stairs. The additional mezzanine is accessed via a folding ladder that can be hidden. The focal point of the cottage is a spacious living room with a large, folding sofa in the shape of the letter "U". Thanks to double, glass doors, the living room seamlessly connects with the sunny terrace, creating one open space in the summer overlooking the picturesque meadow. There is a tub on the terrace. The house also has an equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. The house has air conditioning, which both cools in the summer and heats the cottage in the fall and winter.
Foxy: It is located the furthest away from the other cottages. Its terrace overlooks the meadow and the overgrowing marshland. There is, of course, a tub on the terrace. The cottage has two mezzanines with mattresses 140 cm wide. Steep stairs lead to the main mezzanine. The mezzanine is closed, which provides additional privacy. You can get to the second, smaller mezzanine by ladder. On the ground floor there is a living room with a sofa bed, which seamlessly connects with the kitchen. There is also a bathroom with a shower. As in the other cottages, Foxy also has air conditioning.
In the summer, we set up deckchairs in the meadow, hammocks hang in the forest, there are places for a bonfire and barbecues.
You probably don't expect it, but our mini houses have fully equipped and functional kitchenettes.
In our town, just 300 meters from Siedlisko, there is a grocery store where you can stock up on products necessary to prepare meals. Additionally, at the same distance, there is a restaurant that is definitely worth visiting. Karczma pod Klonami serves delicious dishes and is open in the summer season, and off-season it is available on weekends. It is a great place for a tasty meal in a pleasant atmosphere.
If you want to go a little further, we recommend Oberża Konarzyny, located 4 km from Siedlisko, which enjoys a very good reputation among guests.
At a distance of 6 km from Siedlisko, in the town of Stara Kiszewa, you will find all the necessary shops and services, including bakeries, grocery stores (Biedronka, Dino, Limonka), general stores and flower shops. In Stara Kiszewa there are also cafes and restaurants that offer a variety of meals.
There are two options. Either you will be bored and it will be great. Or you will not be bored and it will be just as great! There are the Tuchola Forest to discover, a nap in a hammock, kayaking, swimming in lakes. Here is what you can do in Siedlisko:
- The area around Siedlisko is full of picturesque trails that are perfect for hiking and cycling. While walking along them, you can discover the beauty of the local nature and enjoy the fresh air.
- Each cottage has its own terrace with a jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing under the stars.
- Each cottage also has two places for a barbecue or a bonfire.
- Hammocks are hung in the forest behind the cottages.
Attractions in the area:
- Lake Wygonin is a stone's throw from Siedlisko. This is the largest private lake in Poland with almost 70 hectares. Wygonin is a popular gentleman. There are summer cottages on the shore, a sandy beach where children frolic, and a surrounding forest that adds to the wildness. Bathing is highly recommended, you can rent a boat and sail out further. It is also a lake that has already become a legend among carp anglers. The depths hide such specimens that the head is small and the angler has to strain his muscles. The largest fish caught so far weighed 21.4 kg. Apparently, carp caught on a rod show bravery and cunning. They are such little gems.
- In the other direction, you will reach Lake Długie, located right next to Lake Krąg. Smaller than Wygonin, but quiet, picturesque and great for swimming or solving crosswords on the shore. The least popular in the area, quiet and slow.
- For sailing, choose Lake Wdzydzkie, or the “Kashubian Sea”. It is not actually one lake, but a complex of connected reservoirs, which are about 9 km long on the east-west line. There you can rent a boat and set off on an adventure. From north to south, the lakes stretch for about 11 km. If you have a drone, we recommend seeing this paradise from above. Something exceptional.
- There are stables in the nearby Dunajki offering horse riding. This is a great opportunity for horse lovers to try their hand at riding, regardless of their level of advancement.
- Kręgi Kamienne Nature Reserve: Known as the Polish Stonehenge, with a history dating back to 1958.
- If that was not enough, the surrounding rivers (Wierzyca and Wda) are excellent places for kayaking. We recommend it to entire families. However, the simplest way to spend time here will be to immerse yourself in the pine forests, areas perfect for hiking and cycling. Be sure to take your bikes, baseball caps, water bottles and hit the road. On site, you will receive analog maps of all the most beautiful routes from us.
- Kashubian Ethnographic Park: An open-air museum with over 50 objects of folk architecture from all over Kashubia and Kociewie. The museum covers 22 ha of land on the very shore of Lake Gołuń. You can visit cottages, manors, a school, a forge, windmills, churches, taverns, farm buildings and craft workshops on your own, because each farmstead is attended by an exhibition keeper who will tell you everything that is important and historical. You can also take part in workshops organized on the premises of the Museum: pottery, embroidery, making paper flowers, etc.
