Welcome to Wolimierz – a Lower Silesian village, where those who prefer something different come to visit. Slower. Every day, a peaceful life takes place here, close to the Jizera nature, but there comes a time when the village fills with colors and people. It is visited by artists and free spirits – people fascinated by the history of the region unfolding around the half-timbered houses, who love theater and jazz. We are a bit on the edge of the Wolimierz fairy tale, as close to the Świeciański Forest as possible. The windows of our apartments overlook the Jizera Mountains. They look down on the large garden, our vegetable garden and terraces for admiring the landscape, where you will sip your morning coffee. Soaking in the views and listening to the silence is a beautiful start to a new day.
We designed the Srebrna Chata so as not to burden the environment. When arranging the space, we tried to make the most of the surroundings, so that nature plays the first fiddle here. The house was built exclusively from natural materials, and part of the equipment was made by a talented local carpenter. We believe that you will be touched by our concern for the local nature, and that the natural surroundings will provide pleasant experiences and regeneration during your stay. If you wish, we will give you breakfast baskets, invite you to a session in a tub under the stars and share tips on where to go for a walk or a bike ride. Anyone who dreams of peace, good atmosphere and comfort is invited to the Srebrna Chata.
We offer 2 apartments: "Leśne Opowieści" and "Izerską Łąkę", each with an area of 67 m² + a terrace with access to the garden (with an area of 1 hectare). The terraces have roller blinds that allow you to "fence off" the area so that you can spend time there more intimately and comfortably.
Apartment cont.: on the ground floor with an area of approx. 40 m² there is a spacious living room, with a comfortable, fold-out sofa and a handy library, a fully equipped kitchenette (pressure coffee machine, fridge, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave), dining room and bathroom with shower (towels and dryer are provided).
On the first floor there is an open mezzanine with a comfortable bed, from which on a clear night you can admire the starry sky.
The house (Srebrna Chata) consists of a total of 4 apartments (2 are currently available for guests, the third "Górki Potok" will be available for guests soon, the fourth "Earth and Minerals" is occupied by us). In Srebrna Chata, each apartment has its own unique theme, inspired by the nature of the Jizera Foothills. The interiors were designed with harmony with the surroundings in mind - they are dominated by natural materials, subdued colors and details referring to the mountain landscape. Many elements of the equipment are the handiwork of local craftsmen, including furniture made by a friendly carpenter. Thanks to this, each apartment has a unique character, while at the same time providing comfort and convenience at the highest level.
In Srebrna Chata, we take care not to burden the environment. When arranging the space, we tried to make the most of the existing surroundings, so that nature plays the first fiddle here. The house was built exclusively from natural materials. The ground source heat pump ensures a pleasant temperature in the house (it heats in winter and has a cooling option in summer). The water we obtain from a deep well is suitable for consumption without chemical treatment. The used water is purified by a domestic treatment plant, in order to finally irrigate the flower meadow by the house. Aerators in faucets are another ecological element of caring for water resources.
We segregate waste and compost everything we can. And what is very important and unique, we are in the dark sky zone! We respect this and try not to pollute the sky with unnecessary light. So sometimes it is very dark outside.
In Srebrna Chata, guests have a fully equipped kitchen at their disposal, which allows for the free preparation of meals. For those who prefer ready-made solutions, breakfast baskets are available (standard or vegetarian), we try to compose them from local products. The basket must be ordered at least one day in advance so that we can prepare it properly. For dinner, the nearest option is Zajazd u Basi in Wolimierz (1.5 km), offering home-made dishes, and a little further - restaurants in Świeradów-Zdrój, just 10 minutes away. Additionally, in the season, we provide guests with vegetables and herbs from our home garden.
At our place:
- swinging with a book in a hammock,
- indulging in blissful laziness and doing nothing,
- sipping morning coffee on the terrace and admiring nature (we are graced with their presence by deer, stags, foxes, storks and wonderfully singing birds),
- arranging a bonfire (or a barbecue),
- relaxing in a tub - it is most beautiful on a frosty winter evening with thousands of stars above your head,
- observing the sky on a clear night - you can spot the Milky Way and a million other stars; in favourable conditions, viewing stars and planets with a telescope.
Next to/outside:
- walking in the forest, which is right next to us - in the season, a short walk is enough to return with a portion of mushrooms for scrambled eggs,
- hiking along the nearby mountain trails and admiring the wonders of nature,
- wandering around the village, where you can feast your eyes on the pearls of Sudeten architecture,
- visiting the nearby tourist attractions, of which there are really many, both on the Polish and Czech sides (castles, dams, extinct volcanoes...),
- actively: cycling (recreational or competitive) - everyone will find something for themselves among the perfectly prepared Single Tracks, bikes (classic and e-bikes) are available at nearby rental shops, - downhill and cross-country skiing - numerous routes are available on the Polish side and with our Czech neighbors. Winter swimming - we recommend under the Kwisa Waterfall,
- participating in local festivals held in Wolimierz. Then it is colorful and cheerful, and not so quiet, although still very atmospheric. On these days, Guests from all over Europe come to the village.
What’s there for children?
At Srebrna Chata, we care about the atmosphere of silence, relaxation and closeness to nature - this is what our Guests appreciate. We want everyone to be able to rest here in peace, enjoying the rustle of trees, birdsong and the slow rhythm of the Jizera Foothills. That is why we invite adults and youth over 12 years of age, for whom we have prepared a space for comfortable rest.
What’s there for employees?
Professionally active people will find a quiet corner for remote work combined with an inspiring view of nature, which works better than coffee :)
