We didn't plan to build a new house. We bought a 100-year-old old man on a hill because he enchanted us with his view of the Beskids. But when 3 specialists in the renovation of rural cottages said that it would not be possible to revive it, there was no way out - we had to build the same house. We saved what we could from the previous one: old logs, some stones. And we built a new one based on it. With a facade made of the same burnt boards, with the same layout of windows and rooms. We only added a porch, for which a craftsman from Podkarpacie cut the wooden lace for us. We had done our homework beforehand: it was supposed to be the way houses in the area used to be decorated. Furniture? Some of them remember the family that lived here several dozen years ago. We had them renovated and added new ones. There is no shortage of them, especially beds, because our group consists of 9 people and we ourselves like to spend time in our beloved Płachtówka. We bake pizza in a bread oven, play cards on the terrace, expose our faces to the sun. We go for walks, and in the summer we bring apples, because this is what the Jodłownik commune is famous for, and it has this fruit in its coat of arms. We placed it on a neon sign: the symbol of Płachtówka, and on a bench specially carved in the shape of apples, which is waiting in the kitchen. We wanted Płachtówka to exude family warmth and freedom, and to have plenty of comfort and attractions. We will make sure that the interiors are delightful at any time of the year. I will decorate them for holidays and special occasions. You need decorations - I will organize everything, and the celebration will be unique and unforgettable.

In the house you will find a comfortable living room with a heavenly soft sofa, a modern kitchenette and a traditional tiled stove and a large table in the dining area. 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are decorated in the colors of nature. Upstairs there is a games room with billiards, an exercise mat and a cinema room, as well as a corner for children.

In the garden we have prepared for you a large fireplace, a comfortable grill and everything you need to organize a real feast in the fresh air. In the house there is a unique tiled stove with a traditional kitchen and a bread oven.

In the surrounding forests, where you can walk endlessly, there are plenty of blackberries, strawberries and mushrooms.

You will find yourself in the region of the Pogórze Wiśnickie hills, located between the Raba and Dunajec valleys. Two rivers flow through Tarnawa - Pluskawka and Tarnawka - you can wade in them or walk along their banks and look out for beavers. For walks, we recommend the rock outcrops - Kamień Żółw on Grodziec hill and Diabelski Kamień.

The reservoir in Łapanów with beaches, guarded bathing areas and water equipment rental is 11 km from us.

In winter, you can reach the nearest ski resorts in 30 minutes – Kasina and Laskowa-Kamionna Ski Station.

Half an hour will separate you from the largest castle in Małopolska after Wawel – the castle in Nowy Wiśnicz. It is picturesquely situated on the edge of a headland. The first cookbook written in Polish was written within its walls.

In less than 40 minutes by car, you can reach Bochnia and Wieliczka to visit the salt mines.

At Płachtówka we haven't forgotten about the little ones. While parents spend time in the games room, the kids can play behind the wall - in a room just for them.
