Swołowo is the capital of the Checkered Land. In a strip of approx. 80 km, we have more half-timbered houses here than anywhere else in Poland. In Swołowo itself, there are approx. 70 white buildings with a half-timbered structure, with black tarred beams. The circumstances of Pomeranian nature have quite naturally entered into the picture-perfect village on an elliptical plan. It is here that we created the Creative Initiatives Farm, wanting it to become the artistic heart of Swołowo. We have carefully restored the 19th-century farmyard, and adapted the spaces of the historic buildings for creating, resting, getting to know each other and spending time well. You don't have to be an artist to stay with us. But... you can become one. Beautiful natural surroundings and atmospheric, rustic spaces can unleash creativity. And this is certainly not only in parents - our farm is family-friendly and we are happy to host the youngest. We have a nice room for common activities, a café, a sauna and a large area around. We regularly organize concerts and workshops. The sea is 15 km away and the nearest checkered house is probably a few steps away. And even if the weather is bad, there is always something to do here. Come and spend some family, friendly and creative stays.

The Creative Initiatives Farm in picturesque Swołowo in the Redzikowo commune is like an archipelago in the heart of Pomerania - a place where buildings are scattered like islands hiding an enormous beauty and a full range of possibilities.

In the main building of the Creative Initiatives Farm, in our Cottage, guests can find several comfortable apartments with bathrooms. The comfortable rooms arranged on three levels offer beautiful interiors, peace and comfort. In the house, guests also have access to a large, shared kitchen and a relaxation area with deckchairs. In the garden, behind the Cottage, you will also find a dry sauna.

In the nearby Przystań Twórców, located literally on the other side of the road, we have arranged 2 independent apartments with separate entrances, both equipped with a kitchenette.

In the former farm buildings we have created a café where you can meet for coffee, tea and delicious sweets baked from local, natural products. In the Gospoda: Spiżarnia w Kratę, 150 meters away, you can order breakfasts, as well as other meals during the day, based on local products and vegetables from your own garden.

Swołowo itself in the Redzikowo commune is a real gem. If you look at it from a bird's eye view, you can clearly see that it is built in the form of an oval, in the shape of which our town is inscribed, full of buildings with black and white elevations looking like a chessboard - hence the name of the land. It is here, in Swołowo, that the most checkered farmsteads are located, and that is why Swołowo is the capital of the Checkered Land.
Be sure to visit the local Museum of Pomeranian Folk Culture in Swołowo. We guarantee that you will be transported back in time.
And when you have enjoyed the beauty of Swołowo's architecture and hospitality, head to nearby Ustka, where you can enjoy the sea breeze and clean, long beaches of the Baltic Sea. You can also drop by Słupsk, a very charming and green city with a beautiful and historic granary with the world's largest collection of Witkacy's works.
Come to Swołowo also for fun and culture! The Zagroda event calendar is full of festivals, concerts, open-air events, which attract guests and artists from all over Poland. It is here, in Zagroda, that the EntoBaltica festival takes place. In addition, in the summer you can immerse yourself in sounds flowing into the sky during concerts from the series Summer in the Meadow. They are graced by the presence of artists who have the same soul as we do.

For families with children, we have prepared several amenities in Chałupa: travel cots, highchairs and toilet pads. In the enclosed yard behind the cottage, children can enjoy a natural playground and, above all, a garden, where they can spend the whole day outside.
There is a second playground in Swołowo itself. In turn, animals - both those living in the pens of the nearby Museum and those freely wandering around the village - will allow the youngest to create wonderful memories.
