For the Kashubians, it's simply a rest, for the rest of the population a tongue twister. Welcome to Ódpóczinek, a house full of delicacies and details that we have hidden in 120 m2. Here, a lamp by a Polish designer will shine, there, a vinyl record will play, in the bathroom, a poster by a local artist will catch your eye. In three bedrooms there are extremely comfortable beds, in the kitchen a food processor, a drip coffee maker, our family recipe book and a pantry, which will definitely contain some cooking products. Come, check what's in the pantry and only then go shopping to fill in the gaps. And then a bonfire or barbecue and a hop to the lake.
This house is our dream come true. A dream of a view of the water, evenings with home cinema, afternoons under a soft blanket with a cat on your lap, mornings with coffee on the terrace and long walks with the dog. Dog Rhubarb and cat Baltazar are our holiday companions, so the house had to be pet-friendly. Gather your team, pack your furry friends and head for Kashubia. We invite you to our resting house.
The 120m2 house has 3 bedrooms with large beds (180x200) (one can be separated into two single beds). You can also sleep on the sofa in the living room or on an inflatable mattress, which is available in the house.
On the ground floor there is one bedroom and a bathroom with a shower, on the first floor there are two bedrooms and a bathroom with a bathtub.
The ground floor of the house is primarily a large open space with a living room, fireplace and a large 6-person sofa with the possibility of adding a module, a well-equipped kitchen with an island and a dining room with an extendable table for 6-10 people. The house is located on a hill, so every window (and we have quite a few of them) offers a beautiful view of the surrounding fields and forests.
From the ground floor there is a direct exit to the viewing and relaxation terrace and a covered gazebo with a large table and a grill. There is also a place for a bonfire in the garden and a recreational area with a volleyball net and ball, as well as badminton.
There is also a utility room in the house, where you can store food supplies on shelves, and there is also a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.
The kitchen in the house is fully equipped. There is, among other things, a fridge with freezer, dishwasher, oven, induction hob, food processor, drip coffee maker, juicer, tableware for 12 people, pots, pans, blender. In the gazebo there is a large charcoal grill and a prepared place for a bonfire. The wood is located behind the carport and is included in the price.
In the kitchen, we constantly replenish the basics. If you cook and have dry food left over, e.g. flour, pasta, or olive oil, ketchup, oil, etc., and you don't want to take them with you - put them in containers/fridge, maybe the next guests will use them. Let's not waste food. We suggest that you come and look around what is currently in the kitchen or pantry and then go shopping and replenish your supplies. :)
In our kitchen you will find something exceptional - A RECIPE BOOK. We designed the kitchen so that you could cook whatever you wanted, we took care of the equipment, and also the space to do it together with friends or family. We are a couple from two completely different (yet so similar) regions of Poland - Kashubia and Silesia. We spend every holiday discussing recipes, differences in tastes and dishes with our family. In Kashubia, I rediscovered my love for cooking. Searching for the best, regional ingredients to make a healthy, essential broth, delicious apple pie or perfect Silesian dumplings gives me great joy and satisfaction. I kept writing to my mother or calling my husband's grandmother asking for tips and usually in response I would get photos of recipes written in a notebook 20 years ago. And that's how we came up with the idea of Przepisnik! Because good food should be shared. Our family members wrote their favorite recipes there and... we encourage you to try them, but also to share yours! Unless it's a family secret... ;)
We recommend stocking up on food in Egiertowo or Przywidz. In each of these places there is a large grocery store and a gas station. In case of larger needs in Somonino there are many other stores, a drugstore, post office, ATM, bakery or butcher's.
You will find local delicacies in our favorite place "Swojskie Wyroby" in Egiertowo. There you can buy regional products - eggs, bread, preserves, meat products, delicious cold cuts, as well as country cheeses and dairy products
The best restaurant in the area is "Gościniec dla przyjaciele" in Wyczechowo. We especially recommend pierogi and trout from a local farm there.
We also recommend the pizzeria in Egiertowo "Bramasole Pizzeria Trattoria". A truly Italian atmosphere in the middle of Kashubia! :)
A little further away (about 15 minutes by car) there is a well-stocked Polska Chata store in Nowa Karczma with local products, delicatessen and fresh vegetables and fruit.
In a crisis situation, two nearby restaurants deliver to our home. :)
"Strefa Przywidz" - burgers, pizza, etc. or "W Trójkącie" Przywidz - Italian flavors.
A large house and a large fenced plot provide great opportunities to spend time together with loved ones, both indoors and outdoors. The house has a projector, Playstation, record player, audio equipment, board games and books - we are sure that you will not be bored on colder days.
In the garden we have a large roofed gazebo and a charcoal grill, a place for a bonfire, lounge furniture on the terrace, as well as a large recreational area where you can play volleyball or badminton, practice yoga, or simply lie on the grass and read books.
The house is located in the middle of the village, the number of neighbors is negligible, there are plenty of walking and cycling paths and forests around, as well as Lake Połęczyńskie.
At a distance of 300 m there is a descent to the water and a small clearing where you can peacefully spread out blankets and swim. Two kilometres from the house there is a beautifully developed municipal swimming pool with two piers and a beach. You can get there on foot in 20 minutes.
A few minutes from the house there is Szymbark, a Kashubian gem with attractions such as the Upside Down House, the Kashubian Observation Tower, the longest board in the world or the Wieżyca Active Recreation Centre with a ski lift.
While staying with us, we also recommend going to Chmielno, a beautiful town located between two lakes, where the Kashubian Strawberry Festival takes place, the Kashubian Ceramics Workshop is located and the great Kashubian restaurant “Checz u Kaszebe” is located.
In the area you can also go kayaking. We recommend the Radunia River and the KAJACZKOWO.PL or RADUNIA KAJAKI rentals.
