The Low Beskids attract exceptional people. Those who enjoy silence, perhaps a bit introverted, but who also value good company. They draw energy from nature, inspire, and never get bored doing nothing. Is that you? Then let us invite you to Hańczowa, a 2-hectare clearing surrounded by forest, with a stream babbling in the distance. Be warned, the scent of wild mint is in your nose, the stars won't let you sleep, and the silence will ring in your ears. We have two houses here – one ours – the hosts', the other entirely yours. A bonus is that the hosts deliver breakfast baskets right to your doorstep. And inside the baskets are all the goodies of the area: seasonal vegetables from their own organic garden, homemade bread from the Old Spa House, local cheeses, milk and eggs, preserves, and cold meats. Just let us know when booking if you'd like to contribute.
It's most comfortable for 6-9 people. It features three bedrooms, a living room with a fireplace, an adjoining kitchen, three bathrooms, and two terraces. Plus, forest, forest, mountains, and, just half a kilometer away, fantastic neighbors—barely visible through the trees. Come hang out in the hammocks, take long hikes, and enjoy winter sessions by the fireplace. Malta the dog welcomes all four-legged friends!
In our exclusive home in Hańczowa, which can accommodate up to 9 people (but 6 will be most comfortable). We have 3 bedrooms with double beds, 3 bathrooms with showers, a living room with a kitchen, 2 terraces, and a balcony.
On the ground floor:
- Kitchen and a large table and chairs for 10-11 people.
- The kitchen is connected to the living room, which features a fold-out corner sofa (possibly sleeping space for 2 people) and a fireplace with prepared wood.
- Access to the east terrace, where, in addition to the table and chairs/bench, there's a gas grill.
- The south-facing terrace is narrower, but we've set up a hammock between wooden supports, and a fabric swing hangs from the ceiling.
- On the north-facing ground floor, there's also a glass-enclosed porch that doubles as an entryway – it's equipped with hangers, a shoe cabinet, umbrellas for guests, and a radiator for drying clothes wet from snow or rain. - A double bedroom with a large bed, a table and chair, a wardrobe, and a woodstove. If you're staying in this room, you'll have your own patio table at your disposal, where you can enjoy your morning coffee.
- The bathroom (with shower, toilet, sink, underfloor heating, and accessories such as a hairdryer, soap, toilet paper, and towels) is intended for the double room, but also for other guests staying in the living room and kitchen – which shouldn't be a problem for a group of friends or family renting the entire house.
- There's also a children's corner in the ground floor hallway – a table and chairs, crayons, drawing pads, books, and board games.
Upstairs:
- 2 rooms – east and west. - In the east room, in addition to a large bed with a beautiful quilt knitted by Mom (indeed, such quilts are available in every room), you'll also find a sofa bed for one adult or two children, a table with armchairs, a chest of drawers, shelves, and a clothes rack, and access to a large balcony equipped with a table, chairs, and a hammock swing. This room has its own bathroom, which includes a shower, toilet, radiator, sink, hairdryer, and towels. - The second room on the first floor is the largest, with a large bed, a fold-out double sofa bed, a table, armchairs, a chest of drawers, shelves, and a clothes rack. This room also has a bathroom (with a door leading to the hallway right next to the bedroom door), naturally equipped with a shower, underfloor heating, a dryer, etc.
- In the upstairs hallway, you'll find a washing machine, ironing board, iron, and clothes dryer.
The bathrooms (except the bathroom in the east room) and hallways, as well as the kitchen, hallway, and porch, have underfloor heating. We provide towels, which we change weekly for longer stays.
The living room also features a projector, a drop-down screen, and a good sound system. If you'd like to watch movies, please bring your own laptop, which you can connect to the projector and sound system.
We, the hosts, live in a second house located nearby (approx. 50 meters away). However, sometimes we're not there, and guests collect their house keys from a lockbox, the code for which is sent via text message.
We strive to be as eco-friendly as possible – we separate waste, use photovoltaics and a heat pump, limit our use of plastics, grow vegetables in our own compost and use no artificial fertilizers, and have a rainwater tank that supplies the garden with water. The house windows are equipped with insect screens – in the summer, there are plenty of them, as we're located in the countryside, surrounded by meadows and forests. We also have air conditioning.
We also have a dry sauna that can accommodate up to 6 people. It's located in a quiet corner of the property, approximately 80 meters from the house. We provide sauna towels.
We work with Tomek, who, upon request, will bring and set up a hot tub (jacuzzi) for guests, for the entire stay or part of it. Hot tub rental is an additional cost, approximately 600-700 PLN per weekend (200-300 PLN per day). Please let us know a few days in advance if you'd like to rent a hot tub.
You can prepare your own meals, but I can also prepare breakfast baskets or full breakfasts (which I bring to your terrace or porch) with seasonal vegetables from my own organic garden, homemade bread from the Old Spa House, local cheeses, milk and eggs, preserves, and cold cuts – to be specified when booking.
As for dinner, I have plenty of great places to recommend in the area that are worth checking out, and we can also arrange to have dinner delivered to you from local hosts.
On our two-hectare property, you'll find a dry sauna, a fire pit with prepared wood, a stream, and plenty of space to do nothing or do whatever you want: yoga, team games, sunbathing, and hammocks.
Also, our beautiful Low Beskids are at your disposal, a challenge for active people. Hiking and cycling trails run nearby. You can hike along the trail of Orthodox churches and World War I cemeteries (there are several hundred of them), climb Lackowa or Kozie Żebro.
You can also visit nearby Bardejov in Slovakia (35 minutes by car) and explore the charming old town with its unique basilica.
The spa town of Wysowa is worth a visit – it has a spa park, a swimming pool, and waters that are both healthy and disgusting. A nice trail leads through the forest. On foot – about an hour's walk. By bike – 25 minutes. On cross-country skis – it depends.
In winter, the ski lift in Smerekowiec (4 km) is ideal for learning to ski for small children, or the ski lift on Magura Małastowska for more demanding skiers (18 km).
Equestrian enthusiasts can arrange riding lessons or a cross-country horseback ride – just 2 km from NaMiętowo is a small stud farm run by our friend, a certified riding instructor with many years of experience.
The Klimkówka Reservoir is 12 km away, where – water levels permitting – you can enjoy sailing, kitesurfing, pedal boating, and kayaking.
A playground with a playhouse, slide, climbing wall, two swings, and a sandbox is already waiting for the little ones right next to the house!
And inside the house, in the ground floor hallway, there's a children's corner with a table and chairs, crayons, drawing pads, books, and board games.
The stairs to the first floor can be secured with baby gates – just let us know when booking if you need them – we'll install them. We also have two travel cots (with changing tables) for babies, a highchair, and two higher chairs for children who would only see the tabletop from an "adult" chair at the table.
A shallow stream runs at the bottom of the property for playing on hot days. The forest, ski lifts, and horseback riding trails are also close by. There's also a children's corner with books, a drawing pad, and crayons. You'll also find plenty of board games, as well as balls, badminton rackets, and a sled.
There is fast wifi, good mobile phone coverage, and several corners where you can work in peace - either in the rooms or on the terraces.
