Welcome to the heart of the Polesie National Park. Here you can breathe deeply, meet mud turtles, swim in lakes, watch peat bogs from above, look out for birds from specially prepared positions, cycle for kilometres and walk, walk, walk. And what's best of all, there are no crowds, so you can relax slowly and quietly. This is where we built our refuge. With an endless view of fields and forest, with a private pond, a terrace for sunbathing and a great place for all-night bonfires.

The cottage wraps you like an angora blanket. There is a sunny living room with a fireplace, games and a home cinema with a projector, a kitchenette with an island and two bedrooms (for 4 people). You can also admire the horizon from the mezzanine - there is a sofa bed and a work space. For your convenience there is a washing machine, and for entertainment badminton, volleyball, chess, and brilliant educational paths, lakes and trails just behind the fence. The "Mietiułka" or "Perehod" trail, the "Durne Bagno" observation tower, Lake Rotcze and the unique Pond Turtle Protection Center. Give Polesie a chance and you will gain a wonderful hideaway from the world.

In Ten Domek, you will find two cosy bedrooms – one upstairs with a large, comfortable double bed, the other downstairs with two single beds, which can be joined together if necessary. Additionally, there is a sofa bed for two people in the living room, and a smaller but comfortable sofa bed on the mezzanine.

Guests have access to a modern bathroom with a shower and washing machine (on the ground floor) and an additional toilet by the bedroom upstairs – because we know that sometimes a queue in the morning is the last thing you want on holiday.

In Ten Domek you will find a fully equipped, large kitchen with a comfortable worktop, oven, induction hob, dishwasher and everything you need for cooking. In the cabinets you will find basic products such as spices, pasta and oil - for a good start to your stay.

If you do not feel like cooking, you will find several proven options in the area. There is a local shop nearby, and larger grocery stores are in Urszulin (approx. 7 km), and there are also restaurants and bars serving local dishes. In the summer season, there are also several catering points by the nearby lakes - ideal for a quick lunch or waffles after a swim.

Do you like cooking outdoors? On the plot you will find a grill, wood and accessories - everything ready for an evening feast under the open sky.

You will start your adventure with the Poleski PN in the village of Stare Załucze, where the PPN Educational and Museum Centre is located. In the park museum, you will see natural exhibits (for the sensitive: stuffed animals), archaeological, geological, ethnographic and historical exhibits. Outside there is a museum shelter with larger exhibits, a nature trail for the youngest "żółwik" with a pond where you can observe mud turtles and the Animal Rehabilitation Centre with an aviary for birds. You can also buy tickets for the nature trails of the Park at the museum.

From the same parking lot as the Centre you will set off on the "Spławy" nature trail.
Length of the route: approx. 7.5 km, including almost 4.5 km of wooden footbridges.
What you will see on the route:
- Lake Łukie - the largest lake in the PPN,
- a floating viewing platform from which you can observe birds,
- the "Spławy" transitional peat bog,
- fragments of meadows and marsh forests.
Maybe you will be able to see moose, cranes, beavers, white-tailed eagles, mute swans, mud turtles, marsh harriers, coots, ferruginous ducks, white herons.

Another nature trail worth visiting is "Czahary". It starts in the town of Zastawie (at the PPN observation tower). Length of the route: approx. 6.5 km
What can you see?
- Bubnów Swamp - the largest peat bog in the PPN,
- the Zastawie backwater - a place where cranes gather before they fly away,
- molinia meadows,
- blooming orchids and royal lousewort,
- towers, observation platforms and tourist shelters,
- the site of the aquatic warbler, an inconspicuous bird - the smallest migratory bird in Europe.

The "Durne Bagno" observation tower, as the name suggests, has a view of Durne Bagno. It is worth taking something for mosquitoes with you to be able to admire the views calmly. The location allows observation towards the west and southwest, so it is a great place to admire sunsets. There are bike racks by the tower, so you can come here, because the tower is located on the Mietiułka bike path. From the cottages it is 14 km.

And speaking of bikes. The "Mietiułka" path starts half a kilometer behind the Border Protection Corps monument in the town of Wytyczno - Łowiszów.
It is about 21 km long, and along the way you can see:
- Durne Bagno - a high peat bog with cottongrass, pijanica (bog blueberry) and pine moss,
- Łowiszów Forest - one of the oldest forests of the PPN - wolves live here,
- a viewpoint in the town of Wielki Łan,
- floodlands in the Pociągi, Ochoża and Radwania meadows,
- the Mietiułka river.

The "Perehod" nature trail is the most interesting trail in the Poleski National Park. Typically ornithological. Although the access to the parking lot is via a bumpy road, it is worth the effort. Lakes, the sounds of cranes, ducks and other water birds make it an ideal place for a walk. We recommend it especially for sunrises and sunsets. The trail begins in Pieszowola.

Length of the trail: approx. 5 km
What can you see?
- Pieszowolskie Ponds,
- heathlands,
- two observation towers and an ornithological shelter,
- oak-hornbeam forests, pine forests,
- grass snakes basking in the sun.
- many species of birds associated with the aquatic environment (white-tailed eagle, great crested grebe, mute swan (less often whooper swan), bittern, snipe, ferruginous duck, reed warbler, cormorant, white heron, grey heron, kingfisher),
- a site of the pond turtle.

On the "Perehod" path you will not find wooden footbridges, the path is accessible to families with prams (we do not recommend after rain). You can hike with a dog on a leash.

It is also worth visiting the Pond Turtle Protection Center, where scientists have created the right conditions for incubating turtles. In incubators, turtle eggs taken from endangered nests go through the final period of incubation. In spring, when the water level in the reservoirs surrounding the breeding grounds is high enough and the water is warm, the small turtles are released into their natural habitats after their first sleepless winter.

There are also lakes, of course. Quite a few lakes. Some are not intended for swimming and sunbathing, others are purely recreational.
- Lake Rotcze with a beach on the eastern shore,
- Lake Łukie, where swimming is prohibited, but you can admire it standing on a wooden jetty extending over Lake Łukie. The shores of the reservoir are inaccessible and heavily forested. There is a shelter nearby, where you can sit and relax.
- Lake Uściwierz: there is no beach or sunbathing, but it is definitely suitable for fishing. Additionally, you can rent a boat at an affordable price at the local PZW Uściwierz branch.
- Lake Piaseczno is considered one of the cleanest in Poland. It is a great place to relax. The Ludwin commune takes care of its beaches and the area around them, every morning a cleaning team cleans them, so it is a good place for whole families to relax. Another advantage is the low density of beachgoers despite the small beach.
- Lake Sumin is a beautiful, small lake in the Poleski National Park. There is a grassy "beach" on the lake and a small playground for children. A nice pier, a guarded swimming area with a gentle descent to the water, a viewing tower, easy and free parking. The water is clean. There are no shops in the area, so remember to take something to drink and eat on the beach.

For the youngest, we have books, toys, and plenty of space to run, discover and... get dirty with a smile!

The plot is almost 30 ares of space - ideal for outdoor play. Children will also love the swings by the campfire, the hammock between the trees and frog trail trips by the pond.

No one gets bored here - neither small nor big.
