Have you always wanted to see what it's like to live in a house on a chicken leg? We satisfied our childhood curiosity by building such a cottage ourselves. Actually, two of them. They stand on a 2-meter elevation, so that the views of the Beskid Mountains are even better. And where else could you build a house on a fairy-tale leg, if not in Stryszawa? This is a village famous for making wooden toys, and its tradition dates back to the mid-19th century. Entire families were involved in making toys here, and the custom, passed down from generation to generation, has survived to this day. If you want to see the colorful figurines with your own eyes, be sure to go to the Beskidzkie Centrum Zabawki Ludowej, where, in addition to the museum, you can visit the toymaker's house. But back to the house, where we invite you: we have a terrace with a mountain panorama, 2 comfortable bedrooms, access to local delicacies. We are close to the trails, 25 minutes to Lake Mucharskie, and in winter, not far from the ski lift and cross-country skiing. If you dream of fun and carefree fun in a slow setting and in a mountain setting, we invite you.

This is Ada, Kaja, Krystian, and Kazik – together we create Kurza Podstawka (Current Foot), our answer to slower, simpler, closer. Kurza Podstawka isn't just a place on the map; it's our heart in every nook and cranny :). We love hosting guests; we enjoy every visit, the smell of coffee in the morning, and evenings in good company when the world slows down. In love with the Beskid Mountains and the history of Stryszawa, we want to share this place – simple, honest, and made with love.
