The border between the Wielkopolska and Lubusz Voivodeships is marked by a range of lakes. On the Lubusz side of this water barrier, in the Pszczewski Landscape Park, we found a farmhouse dating back to 1934. We saw the potential for a relaxing retreat. We had to squint hard to see a bright living room with a large, comfortable sofa instead of hay bales, and to imagine a free-standing bathtub by the barn door. However, we rekindled our childhood dreams of a magic pencil and the resourceful Dobromir, and transformed the old barn into a spacious holiday home. The barn building retains its original features, such as the barrel ceilings, wooden details, and brick facade, because we insulated it from the inside. Besides that, it smells brand new. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious attic for spending time together. There's also a green courtyard with outbuildings waiting their turn, a flower-filled garden, and a terrace. We have a plethora of lakes to choose from, so a stand-up paddleboard is waiting for you there, and there are great places for kayaking nearby.

Come and enjoy some good fish from the local fish and chips shop, a game night, mushroom picking, and sunbathing. Let yourself be invited to the land of lakes in western Poland.

This 200 m² space is just for you, in a house nestled in a meadow, right next to the forest, on a 4,000 m² fenced plot.

Inside, you'll find three comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious living room with large windows and a comfortable sofa, and a fully equipped kitchen. There's also a workspace – if you need to catch up on some work or just write a few words in your journal.

Outside – a fire pit with a tripod and grill, deck chairs, a meadow beneath your feet, and the forest at your fingertips. Mornings with coffee on the terrace, afternoons with a book, evenings by the fire. And if you enjoy stargazing – no city light will bother you here.

The interiors are decorated with attention to detail and comfort, preserving as many original features as possible, such as mangers, barrel ceilings, and roof trusses.

Our kitchen is the perfect place for cooking enthusiasts. It's equipped with an oven, ceramic hob, refrigerator with ice maker, coffee maker, and toaster – everything you need to prepare your favorite dishes and drinks.

There's also a fire pit on the property, over which you can hang a tripod grill – perfect for evening outdoor feasting.

Just 10 km away, in Leśna Farma, Agnieszka runs her own cheese dairy. Her products are highly regarded and provide excellent inspiration for culinary experimentation.
It's also worth trying the cheeses from Świerkowa Dolina – a true feast for the palate. You can also order high-quality beef there.

From May to September, every third Sunday of the month, the Miedzichowskie Eco-Fairs take place.

This is a great opportunity to source local and regional products directly from farmers, artisans, and folk artists.

The area is famous for its excellent fish bars. We especially recommend Bar "U Suma" and the atmospheric fish fryer located in the former railway station in Wierzbno.

If your vacation plan is to "do nothing," you've come to the right place. If your plan is to "do everything," you've also come to the right place. Because here, you can do both. And without guilt.

Let's start from the inside: in the attic living room, there's a shuffleboard, which looks unassuming, but can get the evening going better than Spotify Premium. Darts, board games, puzzles, badminton, balls – everything that keeps kids from asking "what can we do?" and reminds adults that competition is great fun.

Outside? A SUP awaits the lake, and the lake awaits you. You can also grab a fishing rod, hop on a bike, or simply walk straight ahead – through the forest, through the meadow, until the signal ends and peace begins.

And if you really want to get bored – we have lounge chairs, garden chairs, a terrace, books, and silence. The real kind, interrupted only by birdsong and the sound of the fire.

You won't be bored here. This is where you regenerate.

Kids don't get bored here - seriously. We have a safe, fenced area for them, where they can run, play badminton, bounce volleyball or just roll around on the grass. Inside, there are darts, lots of puzzles and board games - from classics to those that draw adults in just as much as children.

On sunny days, you can take out your SUP and head to the lake, and in the evening - light a bonfire and roast marshmallows. The area also offers great conditions for walks, fishing and kayaking - perfect for family adventures.

And if the weather is bad? Then you have a couch, a blanket and cartoons on streaming services. Because sometimes it's good to just lie down and do nothing.

Each bedroom has a desk, so you can retreat to the calla and work in complete concentration.

In the garden, you'll find several lightweight tables that can be arranged as needed, allowing you to work comfortably while enjoying the natural surroundings.
