At a glance
We say with a wink that Zwijaczówka is a place where Scandinavia meets Zakopane. It's simple, natural, and respectful of tradition. It's a Zakopane retreat with soul – without the traditional folk art, but with a mountain atmosphere and a tranquility that's hard to find on Krupówki Street.
We love wood, stone, linen, and handmade details. Nature is important to us – that's why we invite it not only to the garden but also to the interiors. We love people, nature, good food, peace, and space. We've shared these values with our guests every day for 18 years. My parents, Anna and Władysław, started it, and today we run it together – Łukasz, my partner, Kuba, and my parents. Mornings here smell of fresh bread and local cheeses, and the days pass at a slow pace – on the terrace overlooking the mountains or in the garden, surrounded by silence and birdsong. If you dream of a place where you can slow down, get some fresh air, and clear your head, Zwijaczówka is waiting for you with arms wide open.

We are on-site, we give our guests space and intimacy, but we're always ready to help
For over 18 years, we've been sharing Zwijaczówka – a unique retreat in Toporowa Cyrhla, the highest point in Zakopane. It was here, on Hruby Hill, that our grandmother Marysia was born, and her daughter Anna – after many years – returned to this area to create a space where everyone can feel at home in a classic 1990s house.
Ania, often called Hanka, is the heart of this home – she will prepare every breakfast for you, sometimes even at dawn, because she knows the mountains won't wait. She hits the trails whenever she can and happily suggests where to go to see the Tatra Mountains from their best side.
Łukasz (me), a graduate of the Zakopane Art High School, pays attention to every detail – keeping it highland-style, but with a light, modern twist.
