What do you know about Baligród? We knew first and foremost that we'd found a plot of land on its outskirts that met all the criteria for a "dream" destination. That is: minimal civilization within reach, forested hills that would envelop our wooden cottage, and views soothing to the senses of a city dweller from Krakow. Furthermore, proximity to hiking trails, because that's what you come here for. The most famous peaks in the Bieszczady Mountains – Połonina and Tarnica – require a 40-minute drive, but the loop trails to Łopiennik, Berdo, or Jaworna are only 10 km away. Situated on the edge of the Ciśniańsko-Wetliński Landscape Park, Baligród has seen and has much to offer. The picturesque Hoczewka Valley, wooden Orthodox churches scattered throughout the commune, and traces of the Boyko-Lemko and Jewish cultures await you below. Here, up here, on the edge of the village, all that matters is silence, evenings in the tub and reading by the fireplace.

Hello!
Our names are Anita and Jasiek. We've known each other forever :) However, our paths have only crossed occasionally over the years. For some time now, however, we've been following the same path and pursuing our goals and dreams together. A house in the mountains was one of them. Anita, since she could walk, has loved mountain hiking. Jasiek, for as long as he can remember, has accompanied his father on forest walks.
Anita, a photographer and masseuse. In massage, she combines various bodywork practices, mainly based on the Lomi Lomi Nui massage. She takes care of the beautiful photos and videos that you can watch here. She is the artistic soul of this house, responsible for its decor and the appropriate energy prevailing here.
Jasiek is an architect, and contact with regional, wooden architecture is particularly close to him. Over a hundred inventoried wooden churches, Orthodox churches and even mosques meant that whenever he thought about his own house, he visualized a house made exclusively of this natural material in his head.
When the vision of building a house in the mountains appeared, we didn't hesitate for long. After a laborious search, we finally found the perfect plot of land by the forest, on the outskirts of Baligród and began the logistically difficult construction, because it was a quarter of a thousand kilometers away from our hometown of Krakow. And so we give you a part of ourselves. A house, into the construction of which we put our whole heart and until the last nailed board, the last driven nail, the last brush stroke, we made sure that it was as we dreamed. Here we are.
