The most interesting story that happened in Piszewo, Warmia, was that of Ferdinand Schulz. In Warmia and Mazury, he was called "Icarus from the Warmia Sky" because, out of passion, right after the war, he began building his own gliders, often from unusual materials he had on hand, like slats, parchment, or tin cans. His machines bore names like "FS 1" and "FS 2." In the 1920s, Ferdinand dominated global gliding. He broke the record for the longest flight in the world, lasting 14 hours and 7 minutes. He was also the first glider pilot to fly over a city. So, we had a true world-class celebrity here.

Our house is right here, on the pristine Lake Luterskie. Ideally, four of you will come, although six will also fit (someone will be lucky enough to sleep on the couch). We have a place for dog lovers here (the property is fenced), for swimming enthusiasts (the beach is on the other side of the lake), but most of all, for those who simply enjoy the Warmia atmosphere of doing nothing and eating delicious food from local farmers. So come and tell us what you like, because this is our first season!

The house has two bedrooms upstairs with king-size and extra-large beds. Downstairs, there's a living room with a pull-out sofa and a kitchen with an island. There's also a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine.

You'll have the whole house to yourself. But if you don't feel like cooking, the nearest restaurant is Retro. It's very good! 1. Relaxing by Lake Luterskie
Lake Luterskie is the heart of the area and Piszewo's main attraction. It's very clean, which is probably why it's a paradise for anglers – you can catch tench, bream, pike, and perch here. You can also rent a kayak or pedal boat and explore the lake's picturesque bays.

2. Active recreation on the trails
The area is rich in hiking and biking trails. They lead through charming forests and lakeside areas, perfect for long, leisurely walks or bike rides. The clean air and the quiet of the forest are something to come here for any time of year.

3. Discovering Warmia's history
Piszewo also has a history worth exploring. Visit the neo-Gothic Church of St. Valentine and the roadside shrines that are characteristic of Warmia. You can also take a walk in search of traces of the famous aviator Ferdinand Schulz, who was born in Piszewo. It will be a fascinating journey through time.
