We dreamed of building a wooden house in Maruszyn – our native village. Our highland roots and love for simplicity, wood, and nature combined with our sensitivity to detail, functionality, and the need to create spaces that were welcoming. Although our professional paths have spanned the highlands for years – literally, as we met at the construction site of a bridge – it was the earth, wood, and mountains that became our new everyday reality. We designed everything ourselves: from the house layout, through the selection of materials, to the smallest interior details. In the design, we referenced the traditional layout of a Podhale house. This means that on the left is the "bioło izba" (representative, festive, for celebrations), and on the right is the "corno izba" (for everyday life) – both divided by a hallway. At the end of the hallway, there was traditionally a porch, while in our case, it's a terrace.

Today, we welcome every guest with a warm "weltacka" – with a smile, an open heart, and time for conversation. We love people. We love recommending our favorite trails and spots that aren't in guidebooks. If you'd like, we'll tell you where to find the best views, the tastiest cheese, and even where to hide in the forest and truly relax. This is what we want to share with you – our place, just as it is. Simple. Authentic. Warm. We're not inviting you to a hotel or resort – we're inviting you to our home.

A well-equipped kitchen awaits you at the house, allowing you to conveniently prepare meals for the whole group. Neighbors offer goat's milk, goat's cheese, local eggs, honey, Podhale cheeses, sheep's milk cheese, and cow's milk.

If you dream of a place where life slows down and the silence is broken only by the sound of sheep bells, then no, you won't be bored.

The house is surrounded by forests and the "Skałka" nature reserve, perfect for peaceful hikes and gathering your thoughts (or berries). We also have bicycles – unique because they're made of bamboo – that you can use to explore the surrounding paths.

There's a large garden with a fire pit and a gazebo, perfect for reading, chatting, and relaxing. And if the weather cooperates (or not), you jump into a hot tub with a view of the entire Tatra Mountains, then head to the sauna – and you're instantly transformed.

And then there are our sheep – very friendly, they love being petted, and they look great in photos. Kids adore them.

In the house and garden, you can curl up with a book, gaze at the mountains from the terrace, or just be. Instead of boredom, we simply enjoy the peace and quiet that's sorely lacking these days.

Our children have a place to run around, have fun, and get dirty – doing what they love most. Outside, there's a cozy playground with a playhouse, a climbing frame, a swing, a climbing wall, and even a table and benches where you can have a picnic with stuffed animals or enjoy some ice cream while laughing. There's plenty of space around to run, hide, and dream up your own adventures.

In winter, sledding is a must – because right outside the house, we have the perfect hill for sliding. And when the weather isn't inviting, the kids move to the ground floor – there's a large space for playing and building bases. Here, they can put on a play or just fool around without worrying about noise.

Our children never get bored. At best, they'll collapse from exhaustion – and fall asleep faster than you can read them a story.

If you need to take your work with you, our home will allow you to get things done efficiently. We have fast Wi-Fi and several quiet spots where you can sit with your laptop (including a terrace with a view of the Tatra Mountains – yes, we know, it's hard to concentrate then, but it's worth a try).

The house is quiet, free of city noise – the only sounds are the wind and the sheep. You can answer emails with a coffee in hand, then close your laptop and go for a walk in the forest. Or hop in the hot tub – because workation is worth every moment.
