Too far to the beaches of Zanzibar? Try good old Masuria! It seems no one has been disappointed yet. First of all, it's much easier to come here with a group, even one of 10. To avoid having to struggle on the couch, we've designed our house with five bedrooms, each with comfortable mattresses distributed evenly. The house is just a few steps from the Zanzibar Skorupki Port, so you might bump into a few sea dogs heading to their yacht. Masurian life is in full swing here, but it's slow, summery, and very peaceful. So if you're looking for a secluded getaway, we can honestly say that people do visit our corner, but port life has a lot of charm. It's 300 meters to the beach, 200 meters to the tavern, and infinitely close to realizing any ideas you might have. Here, we have a great starting point for exploring the Masurian Cycling Loop, a volleyball court, and a delightful spa with a hot tub and sauna. Have you been looking for a home designed for groups of friends, the perfect base for exploring Masuria? You've just found it.
Carpe Diem offers a complete house for your exclusive use – approximately 140 m² of comfortable, spruce-clad comfort. A true wooden log cabin with a large terrace.
The house comfortably accommodates up to 10 people.
• 5 bedrooms – each with 2 single beds, which can be converted into double beds (continental beds).
• 2 bathrooms – both with showers, sinks, and toilets.
• Living room with a fireplace and a comfortable relaxation area, featuring a large table, a bookcase, games, Wi-Fi access, and air conditioning.
• Dining room and kitchen – connected to the living room, fully equipped, with air conditioning in the living area.
• Terrace/veranda – with a complete set of furniture and loungers.
• Private spa area – jacuzzi with hydromassage, outdoor sauna, and winter swimming barrel (all open year-round). Hotel-grade bedding and towels are, of course, included (both white household towels and thick, large towels for use at the spa).
The house is surrounded by a large, fenced plot of land with parking, a playing field, and a fireplace.
We cook our own meals – the kitchen is well-equipped, with plenty of pots, pans, an oven, baking sheets, oven-safe dishes, a microwave, a toaster, a drip coffee maker, filters, spices, oil, etc. We also have a fire pit with barbecue facilities.
For lunch or dinner, you can pop into Zanzibar (150 meters) – pizza from the oven, à la carte dishes, pancakes, cutlets, and, of course, fish. Live concerts are also frequent.
You can enjoy good fish, pizza, and pasta at the marina in Ryn or at Sielawa in Mikołajki. There's also a "śniadaniówka" restaurant in Tałty – 5 km from us.
There's a volleyball court on site, and you can also play badminton, frisbee, cricket, cornhole, and petanque (we're even building a pitch for it!) – equipment is provided.
Evenings by the bonfire or in the sauna and jacuzzi are a classic (the spa charges an additional fee: a one-time fee for the entire stay, with no limits on guests or frequency of use).
Lake Tałtowisko is nearby – 150 meters from the beach at the port and 300 meters from the municipal beach, where you can swim or lie on the grass.
Next to Port Zanzibar – food, especially pizza, beer, etc., and sometimes a concert.
Cyclists have a great starting point for the Masurian Cycling Loop – gravel and MTB trails.
If you're feeling "in the city," Mikołajki, Ryn, Giżycko, and Mrągowo – all within a few dozen minutes.
We're not typically a family-friendly place, but if children do come, they'll find plenty of space to move around and play.
On the property, you can play volleyball, badminton, or even just play on the grass.
We don't have a playground or dedicated attractions, as our primary focus is on adult guests and a peaceful getaway.
We appreciate the presence of children – we have them ourselves – but we want this home to be primarily a place for relaxation, including for their parents.
We're currently creating a remote workspace in one of the bedrooms – it will have adequate space, including a desk, a comfortable chair, and access to a printer with a scanner. A spare keyboard and mouse are in a drawer.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the house – the provider is T-Mobile via an LTE antenna, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Generally, the Wi-Fi works at 60 Mbps, but it's not fiber optic.
You can also work at a large table in the living room or on the veranda, weather permitting.
