There are times when city amenities, trips to trendy eateries, and the dynamics of Las Vegas-style life tempt us with the promise of new experiences and are what excites us – especially on trips.

But there are also times when our social batteries are drained, our nervous system squeaks under the weight of incoming stimuli, and we could fall asleep from exhaustion even with our head on the fire.

If you've already fallen into this second mode, we have a prescription for you. A subscription to peace and quiet – even if only for a weekend. And where better to soothe an overworked body than in the middle of nowhere? This time, we're taking you to the edge of a nature park, to an area rich in lakes, yet far from the crowds, yet still with all the amenities of civilization. Here's a home where you can gather your scattered senses, renew your creative capital, and simply sit down and be. Just like that – casually.

When are you coming?

Settle into this charming cottage for four, perfect for relaxing year-round. Inside, you'll find two cozy bedrooms and a living room with a woodstove, which crackles pleasantly on cooler evenings. There's also a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with a shower. There are also two terraces – one of which is fully covered – and a porch perfect for admiring sunsets with your favorite beverage in hand.

What else is included?

The living room has a TV with Netflix, perfect for rainy days. And for sunny days, we recommend a hammock in a shaded area, exercise on the porch, a large yoga mat, eating meals on the covered terrace, having evening bonfires, and observing nature from the fenced plot. You'll also find loungers that can accompany you around the garden to wherever you feel like lounging. If you want to experience freedom and cool off on warm days, you can use a large two-person SUP. There are plenty of lakes around. There's the large Jeziorak Lake, but the forest lakes are even more charming. You can reach them in a matter of minutes on our bikes.

As befits a home without a court, you'll be responsible for your own meals. A well-equipped kitchen with a large refrigerator, oven, induction cooktop, and everything you need for cooking will certainly make things easier. And, of course, a dishwasher – because who would wash dishes by hand these days, like an animal? Time spent in the kitchen will be made even more enjoyable by the soothing view of the meadows and nearby forest.

And if you feel like throwing on an apron and enjoying someone else's dinner, you can go fishing at the iconic, seasonal open-air restaurant "Szopa – Siemiany."

If you're planning further trips by car, it's worth checking out "Stary Tartak" in Iława, "Chmielówka" on the other side of Jeziorak, or "Z Paswiska na Płat" (From Pastoral to Plate). And best of all – you can get there by boat! Let us know in advance, and the hosts will help you organize such a trip or purchase farm eggs, fresh fish from Jeziorak, or gifts from the forest.

Slow down and settle in: with coffee on the terrace, a book in the hammock, or with loved ones by the fire. In the evening, throw on your favorite movie, turn on the mood lighting, and allow yourself a deep rest, undisturbed by notifications or guilt trips.

The property is fenced, so your dogs can get even for all their leash-related punishments, and you'll certainly have plenty of space to roam freely on the grass barefoot, lie on a blanket, take uninterrupted naps in the hammock, or watch the morning mists drift over the fields from the cozy porch.

And when you feel like exploring the area, the Iława Lake District awaits. Right next door, you can take a refreshing dip in Jeziorak Lake – the lake with the longest shoreline in Poland, dotted with numerous bays and islands. This is an ideal place for swimming, sailing, and other water activities.

We provide a two-person SUP for admiring the surroundings from the water. For your safety, we also provide life jackets.

While exploring the area, it's also worth visiting the ruins of the Teutonic Castle in Szymbark, the charming settlement of Solniki (formerly a pharmacy glass factory), and the Lake Jasne Reserve with its crystal-clear waters.
