At a glance

The end of the world can also be the beginning of the adventure of a lifetime. Meet... the first Slowhop in Africa – right at its very edge. Our home is located in Pringle Bay, a seaside village just an hour from Cape Town. The Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve encompasses the coast and mountain range. As many as 65% of the local vegetation is endemic, meaning its species are found nowhere else in the world. Whales sometimes swim up to our house, and the penguin habitat is only 20 minutes away. The ocean, the sight we long for in Poland, is a daily occurrence here. We even see it from the bathroom. When we want to smell it and hear its roar, we open the windows on both terraces wide. Then we feel like we couldn't be closer. Want to experience the ocean breeze firsthand and soothe our eyes with the blue? We invite you to the end of the world. Our home is open to a group of up to 7 people. If you're wondering: how do we organize all this? – don't worry. We'll help you plan your stay from A to Z. We'll share every tip regarding logistics and attractions, because we know this place like the back of our hand. We can't wait for you to walk through the red door.

We are not on-site, but friendly help will look after you

People are divided into two groups: those who hate Africa and those who love it. We once accidentally ended up in Johannesburg for work reasons, and... it began. And it continues. We know every season, most of the nooks and crannies both near and far. My child spends his summers there at school, and we visit whenever we can. Visiting us isn't for everyone. A bit of independence, curiosity about the world, and acceptance of its imperfections are required (electricity, water, GSM – pick two ;)). If you want to freeze in Africa, wander around with penguins, or eat good steaks – this might be for you. Before you decide – ask.

How do I get there?

By car

  • Our address: Allan rd 602, Pringle Bay, Overberg, South Africa

  • From Cape Town, we head east on the N2, keeping the four-lane road (we DO NOT leave it, despite the sat nav's suggestions). Turn right at the traffic lights for Gordon Bay, continue to the end, and we're on the R44 (Bond was filmed here). If this road is closed (very rarely and only in extreme weather), we follow the navigation through Sir Lowry's Pass as normal. The R44 will take us to the bend for Pringle Bay to the right. After entering the village, turn right and keep straight until you reach the first street (Anne RD), turn right, immediately right, and then over the road. First left (gravel), immediately up the driveway to the right, and you're there. You'll see a large garage door. That's it.
