We're in the Sądecki Beskids, more precisely in the village of Bącza-Kunina. Its name derives from animals: horses and bitterns, but the locals also have their own legend. It tells the story of a hermit named Bączakunin, who, after a long journey, stopped here and decided to stay forever. Alone with the hills, stream, and forests. But as it turned out, he had such a gift for healing and winning people over that his plan for a solitary life backfired. More neighbors quickly appeared, and Bączakunin had to somehow come to terms with the idea of living in a community. We'll also add that, according to legend, Bączakunin came from Italy. You'll agree that his surname was distinctly Italian.

Regardless of the truth in this legend, the fact is that the area has a wealth of charm. And the best proof of this is the honeyed history of our family. Bees thrive only where they can find good nectar, and that's found exclusively among lush flora like the one here. So when my parents received a plot of land in Bącza-Kunin as a wedding gift in the 1980s, they knew exactly what to do with it. In this picturesque natural setting, they opened an apiary, which was the perfect home for the bees. After many years, we moved to the city to start something of our own. We closed the apiary, but we opened the doors of our hometown to you. This is our new project: Pagórek Villa & Relax. It's modern, with beautiful views of the cows grazing below, and a fabulous terrace. We invite you for a blissful rest.

A large living room with a kitchen and fireplace, 7 meters high, is the centerpiece of the house. We have two bedrooms, plus the Hobby Room as the third bedroom. Various bed configurations are possible, for example, 2 x 180 cm or 4 x 90 cm in these two bedrooms. The Hobby Room has a 2-seater sofa bed, as does the living room.

The house features a spa with a sauna, bathtub, shower, and toilet, a separate bathroom with a shower, and a utility room with a washing machine and dryer. Use of the sauna is included in the price for our guests.

Guests cook their own meals, but we can arrange a Regional Welcome Package. Just before your arrival, we'll stock your fridge with delicious, authentic regional products. All products are organic and sourced from nearby farms.

The Welcome Package includes: homemade cold cuts, farm eggs, jams, pickled cucumbers, and cottage cheese. We also offer fragrant bread baked in our home oven.

The area is rich in tourist attractions for hikers and tourists of all abilities. The Sądecki Beskids are full of hiking trails and places worth visiting. Charming churches, Orthodox churches, authentic villages, stunning views from the peaks, and trails for long hikes.

By car, you can significantly expand your sightseeing area. Krynica, Piwniczna-Zdrój, Muszyna, Nowy Sącz, and a quick trip to Slovakia are just some of the attractions available in the region.

In winter, a variety of ski slopes are available within a few dozen minutes' drive. From easy slopes, specifically designed for families with children, to the longest slope in the area, located on Jaworzyna Krynicka. The immediate area, just above Pasieka, can also be a wonderful place for snow fun. The vast, gently sloping fields are perfect for sledding or hayrides.

In the summer season, Niemcowa

The hill is located 150 meters from the blue hiking trail, which runs from Nawojowa and connects with the green trail near the "wolf pits." The green trail leads to the red trail, which leads to Cyrla, where a mountain hut is located. You can also go in the opposite direction and reach Pisana Hala, Łabowska Hala, where there is a mountain hut, and Jaworzyna Krynicka, where there is also a mountain hut and wonderful views. In good weather, you can also see a magnificent panorama of the Tatra Mountains. There are also many other trails around Pasieka – cycling, hiking, and horseback riding.

There are many must-see places in the region. You can also visit places where you can learn about the region's history and culture or enjoy active family time.

Krynica Zdrój is a place filled with various tourist attractions. Jaworzyna Krynica is a great viewpoint during the snow-free season. There's a gondola lift that takes you to the summit, where the mountain hut is located. The summit can also be reached on foot.

In Muszyna, you'll find Sensory Gardens, and along the way, you can visit the Mofeta in Złockie, and many other attractions.

In the winter season

Winter is a wonderful time of year to visit the Sądecki Beskid Mountains. The winter landscape is beautiful and full of charm. When the snow falls, you can have fun sledding in the nearby fields above Pasieka. And if you're looking for ski slopes, you've come to the right place. Within a few minutes' drive, you'll find numerous ski lifts. From easy ones for the youngest, perfect for learning to ride, and with facilities designed for children, to the longest slope in the area, Jaworzyna Krynicka, with a slope length of over 2.4 km and a high-speed gondola lift.

Hobby TV with Netflix and Disney Plus is included in the room price for guests.

We have a small shepherd's hut for children, with a large 5m x 5m beach in front. Pots and other play equipment await, including a mud kitchen and a children's table and bench. Three swings are installed in the plum grove right next to the hut. The plot is diverse, covering almost 1 hectare, giving children the opportunity to explore various nooks and crannies. We have slopes, trees, blueberries, plums, and other surprises. We also have a large trampoline for jumping. During the spring and summer season, you can spot cows grazing on our plots, which our neighbor grazes – the cows love children :) At home, there are toys, books, games, and board games.

In the Hobby Room, we have a desk and chair for work. The entire house has high-speed fiber-optic internet at 1 Gbps. We also have very good routers that work with mesh technology. This means we also have a very good and stable Wi-Fi connection on the terrace.
