No pressure, but if we were you, we'd come to Głuchołazy. The town lies at the foot of the Opawskie Mountains, the easternmost range of the Sudetes. We have beautiful, yet undemanding trails here, perfect for family hikes and romantic getaways for two. Plus, we share it with the Czech Republic, so it's easy to find an opportunity to sip Kofola overlooking the Zlate Hory Mountains. And if you also enjoy a spa atmosphere? This picturesque spot will surely strike a chord with you. The charming spa park, graduation tower, and colorful townhouses would be appreciated by Wes Anderson himself. Głuchołazy suffered severe damage during the 2024 flood, but for us, it's yet another reason to visit this beautifully situated town. It's here that you'll find the over-100-year-old water tower, which has captivated us from the very beginning. It stood abandoned for over 70 years, but it no longer stands. It is now full of life, color, cozy and inviting you to explore the southern Opole region. If you have not been to these parts before, and the word "Głuchołazy" brings a deafening silence to your mind, we have created the best opportunity to change that.
A renovated historic water tower from the early 20th century is available for exclusive rental. On the ground floor, there's a living room with a kitchen and a sofa bed, and access to a sunny terrace. On the first floor, there's one bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom, and a toilet. On the second floor, there's a bedroom with a double bed, a TV, and a work area. The tower is surrounded by 300 m² of space, with some grass, greenery, and parking spaces.
Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, refrigerator, oven, hob, pots, plates... everything needed to prepare meals.

– Otmuchów Castle
One of the oldest castles in Silesia, dating back to the 14th century, it served both defensive and residential purposes. Today, it is one of the most important tourist attractions in the Głuchołazy area.
– Moszna Castle is one of the most recognizable buildings in Silesia, known for its fairytale appearance and splendor. The castle combines Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles, making it absolutely unique. Its 99 towers and turrets add to its mysterious character. – “Czarcia Ambona” / 300 steps right next to the water tower :)
The trail to the observation point (sometimes counted as 300 steps) leads to Čertova Ambona, from where there is a beautiful panorama of the Opava Mountains and Głuchołazy.
– Just across the Czech border is the Praděd Nature Reserve.
Praděd is the highest peak in the Jeseníky Mountains (1,491 m above sea level) and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region. At the summit, there is an observation tower offering stunning panoramic views. It is an excellent place for hiking and cycling. Trails in the area lead through picturesque forests, meadows, and hills, and in winter, it is also a great place for skiing and snowboarding.
At the top of Praděd stands an observation tower and a meteorological station. It's worth taking the cable car up to Praděd or hiking it.
– Jeseník is the main town in the Czech part of the Opava Mountains. It is known for its spa traditions and beautiful natural landscapes; it is the oldest spa town in Europe.
– The caves at Na Pomezí, Na Spicak, Na Staré Mlýně, Velká, and Na Klíč are interesting geological features in this part of the Opava Mountains. In the caves, you can see interesting rock formations such as stalactites and stalagmites.
– The Skywalk Bridge (Sykovec Bridge) in the Jeseníky Mountains. The Skywalk is a modern tourist attraction built in 2017. The bridge connects two mountains in this picturesque area and is part of a wider hiking trail in the Jeseníky Mountains.
For children, we have a selection of board games and several games you can play on the lawn. In addition, there are ski trails, hiking trails, and mountain biking trails nearby. Trout fishing in the fishing grounds of Moszczanka and Pokrzywna at the foot of the mountains is a tradition in the area. Nearby, there are rope parks in Czech Republic and Złoty Stok (the longest zip lines). It's also a great idea to take a stroll with the kids through the spa park in Głuchołazy.
