At a glance
If Rivendell exists, it's located in Mazovia, in a forest near the Mszczonów orchards. There's a house we affectionately call a container, but that's a name that's definitely not quite fitting. Besides its shape and small size, it has more in common with elven houses than a tin box. In 24 square meters, we've created two bedrooms, one on a mezzanine and the other behind a door with green glass panes. There's also a 3-meter-long wooden countertop, constructed from a century-old parquet floor from a Warsaw tenement house. There were enough planks to make a table and some cabinet fronts. And while 24 square meters isn't a palace, we've made sure you have plenty of space to relax. Right next to the house, we've built a greenhouse, where in summer you can bathe in the mermaid room. And in autumn, during rainy days, you can warm yourself by the fireplace and watch nature through the glass. They, though originally from Warsaw's Mordor and having witnessed too many ASAPs, have now found a peaceful retirement in the forest. Where exactly? You'll only find out once you book. Until then, Przytullas's location remains a mystery.

Like many of you, lockdown was probably a game-changer for us. Living in the center of Warsaw, we tried to take our boys to the forest as often as possible on weekends. We roasted marshmallows and piglets—like buns—by the bonfire. However, at -10 degrees Celsius, even a well-stretched tarp and a large bonfire provided only temporary comfort. The decision was made to build a mini-cottage. We built it in the Roztocze region and it was delivered to its current location by truck. And then he came in—JAN, our third son. We're gathering our stuff from Warsaw and moving out of town. The forest isn't as much fun when you have a private patch of lawn, so I decide to share the "container" with you. But such a poor, gray one—oh no! Shame! :) The construction of my private Sagrada Familia begins, as my friends describe it. Painstakingly, often at night, I add new elements. A veranda, a greenhouse, a fire pit, a hot tub. I try to make everything unique. Even if I wanted ash boards like the ones on the walls, I'd never find them again. The countertops are made of hundred-year-old parquet from an old tenement house, and the doors have seen their share. Along the way, we stumble upon stained glass windows—salvaged from a gazebo in Łomianki slated for demolition. We're building a greenhouse on the foundations of the old house, and we're connecting the whole thing with a terrace. The greenhouse and veranda windows were once witnesses to the ASAPs in Mordor, and today they can soothe the effects of those ASAPs.
