Near Mikołajki, on Lake Inulec, there is Zełwągi, and in it Chrosiówka - a house in the village located in front of the local beach. A house with a large, almost hectare yard, where there is a playground, a shed, a fireplace, a mini forest and a piece of wild meadow. And soon there will also be an atmospheric Masurian log cabin. There is something in Zełwągi that makes you want to be here. Some special bond between people and an acceptance of otherness. Maybe because before the war the first Mormon settlement in Poland was established here? Maybe because history has really mixed up the population in these lands? Or maybe Zełwągi is just like that? We do not know. But the fact is that they act as a magnet. When someone comes here once, they usually come back every year. In Chrosiówka, we have three rooms for you with a view of the lake and hilly meadows. We have real food and warmth. In the winter, we have warmth and books, in the summer, we have a beach and sparks above the fire. Come on over. We are not going anywhere yet.

Here Slowhop will describe your place

Asia
We - Asia called Chrosia, a lover of mathematics, books and mountain hiking, and Wojtek - a guy who prefers to do something rather than talk. You will meet us in Zełwęgi on Lake Inulec, where we built our Chrosiówka. We are from here, we feel very connected to our part of Masuria. We derive joy from a simple life and good relationships with people. Our story is very normal, there is no drama like in a good novel or magic like in a fairy tale. We bake sourdough rye bread, make cheese and brew beer. We like to go out into the forest on bikes for coffee, stare at the fire or lie in a hammock with a good book. We'll be happy to share it all with you. Come.

We have the entire attic of the house with an independent entrance for you. It's not a crazy space, because there is only a kitchen and 3 rooms with bathrooms. However, this makes it feel homely and intimate. The rooms can accommodate up to 7 people (including children). If you like excellent coffee and a nice book, you may like it here. If you prefer a bike, a kayak or a morning run ending with a swim in the lake - we have that too. Or maybe you are looking for a place for lovers of long walks in the forest, guitar and bonfire? We invite you! When booking, choose one of our rooms. Rooms no. 1 and 2 are north-facing and have a beautiful view of the lake. However, room no. 3 from the south is the only one with air conditioning. Each room has a comfortable double bed, in room 1 there is also an additional fold-out sofa for one person. If you are a 2+1 family, we will offer you room no. 1. If you have two children, we will offer you two rooms - for your comfort and the convenience of other guests :) In each room you will also find a large wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a table, an armchair, soft woolen carpets, lots of books, warm blankets for cold evenings (if you would like to watch the stars, because the rooms have central heating), board and card games in the hall. spending time unplugged. You should know that in addition to rooms, we also rent a wooden house - Chata Chrosiówka for a maximum of 8 people. So you will share part of the yard with the guests of the cottage, i.e. a place for a bonfire and a playground for children. The shelter and part of the yard in front of the house are designated only for room guests. There are also two parking lots. Our yard is almost a hectare of land, so there is enough space. It is also worth adding that our house is located in the village, so we have neighbors. We have a large yard surrounded by trees and bushes and it is usually very quiet, but we cannot guarantee complete peace and quiet. One of the neighbors also welcomes guests, sometimes someone mows the grass, and sometimes someone chops wood... Just like in the countryside. In summer, Zełwęgi is a bit more noisy and cheerful, but from September to June we have a real idyll here :)

What will I eat?

We have arranged the kitchen so that everyone can prepare something delicious. Don't hesitate to use it. You will find everything you need here: - dishes, cutlery, pots, - electric hob and microwave, - fridge and electric kettle, - coffee maker, French press, dripper (overflow), grinder and milk frother - sugar, salt, specialty coffee and tea. Next door, literally behind the fence, you can order home-made meals from our neighbor Małgosia. Małgosia will prepare not only dinner but, if necessary, the entire menu for a small family party! She also bakes amazing challah and makes delicious cakes. And her soup is poetry. We recommend! You can try our products here for some time now. It started with a search for simple, good food. Now we have gained momentum and are making rennet cheese, baking sourdough rye bread, and making real live apple cider vinegar and beer. It turned out that the devil is not that scary and that the secret is good ingredients and a little heart. For cheese, we only use milk from Zelwa cows, appropriate bacterial cultures, rennet and salt. In turn, the breads are made of eco-rye flour from Młynomag (the 600-year-old mill in Reszel is the oldest operating mill in Poland), grains, water and salt. Come for a slice of bread and butter! During the season, you can definitely eat well in the nearby Królicza Nora or Zełwęgi Restaurant. You can also kayak to the other side of the lake to the Muranka fish fryer for the best fish in the area. On site, we will show you more tasty addresses in the area. And the best coffee and breakfasts are served at our favorite bistro Przechowalnia Marzeń in Mikołajki.

In summer, we recommend the country beach right under the windows or wild beaches in the forest. We have deckchairs and hammocks on site, a lake for fishing and kayaking right next to it, and nearby forest paths perfect for walking and cycling. There is a beach volleyball court and an open-air gym on the beach. We have several bicycles, but if you ride more than one, we recommend taking your own. There are many bicycle routes, we are in the buffer zone of the Piska Forest, so there is plenty of places to ride. There are also three kayaks for paddling. And for fun there are games, cards and balls. Reserve some time for reading books from our library and such ordinary pleasures as enjoying aromatic coffee, stargazing, long evenings by the fire and quiet afternoons in a hammock. Only then can you feel that you have more time for everything. There is a bonfire in the meadow behind the house, and a barbecue shelter right next to the house. You can comfortably dine here or just drink coffee or green tea in the morning. For those who are in Masuria for the first time, we also recommend such evergreens as Mikołajki, Leśniczówka Pranie, Gierłoż, rafting down the Krutynia River or the wilder Sapina River or the Boyen Fortress. Although we prefer to go there after the season.

What’s there for children?

Go to photo editor Photo edit

Translated by Google Translate.
Welcome to a house where dirty children mean happy holidays. Therefore, we encourage our guests to give children more freedom. Point number one is of course the village beach, which is right next to it. Our children say that the water is the perfect temperature from May to the end of September. On the beach, as on the beach, there is a pile of sand, there is also a playground, half a hectare of meadows and a wonderful old willow where our daughters used to spend half of their free time until recently. On the hill behind the house we also have our own playground. School-age children will especially enjoy it. Wojtek made all toys himself according to our daughters' idea. Designers were demanding and every now and then you could hear: "dad, this will be too easy...", so dad did his best and instead of a playground, a combat obstacle course turned out...

If you don't have excessive needs, i.e. for work, all you need is a view of the lake, available internet, a wooden table and good coffee, in fact... we have everything :) We also have hammocks in front of the house and a shelter with electrical sockets if someone likes to work outside . If you would like to work longer with us, ask for an individual offer, we invite you!

How do I get there?

Icon Car

Our address: Zełwągi 43c, Zełwągi, Masuria Region, Poland

Translated by Google Translate.

The easiest way to get to Zełwęgi is by DK16. In Zełwęgi, leave the main road towards Bobrówko and then turn into the first road on the right. After about 500m, you will see our Chrosiówka (and a large inscription with the name) on the left. Attention! The house numbers are not sequential, so don't worry that after 43b there is 43e. We are a bit further :) We have one place for charging an electric car, which is located in the parking lot. We provide three-phase 400V powered by alternating current (AC). For the full comfort of our guests, we provide a type 2 charging plug. The price for charging is fixed and amounts to PLN 1 per kWh.

Bus: Zełwągi (0,7 km)

About 700m on foot - there is a sidewalk, so a suitcase on wheels will be fine. If you let us know in advance, we can pick you up at the bus stop by car :) During the season, you can get directly to Zełwęgi from Warsaw, even from Krakow, and after the season, you may need to change trains. You can also take a train to Olsztyn and there change to a bus to Zełwęgi or a train to Ruciane-Nida. Alternatively, we can pick you up from a further stop (Mragowo, Mikołajki, Ruciane-Nida) after prior arrangement.

Wspaniale miejsce! Właściciele serdeczni i pomocni, serwują przepyszny ser, chleb i piwo! Zdecydowanie miejsce godne polecenia i powrotu!

Bardzo, bardzo dziękujemy! Cieszymy się bardzo, że wybraliście nasze poniekąd nudne miejsce ;-) na świętowanie początku nowego roku! Było nam bardzo miło Was gościć. Pozdrawiamy serdecznie, Asia i Wojtek

Cudowne miejsce, w którym można zapomnieć o codzienności i "wyczyścić" głowę. Poranna kawa wypita w hamaku, wieczorne ognisko, niebo pełne gwiazd, a zamiast odgłosu samochodów - muczenie krów. Pyszny chleb pieczony przez gospodarzy (za którym tęsknimy). Chrosiówka to miejsce, do którego chce się wracać!
