At a glance
Supposedly, there was once a sea here. However, one of the Kievan monarchs cut the mountains open, drained the waters, and only mud remained. And so the Black Sea shrank to its current size, although people continued to find anchors in the fields for a long time. There were other stories, too – about Herodotus's tribe of sorcerers who transform into wolves once a year. And about the Arctic explorer Louise Arner Boyd, who sailed with her camera through Polesie in the 1930s. You read that correctly – she sailed because it was easier to find a water route here than the packed gravel roads.
To get to us, however, you no longer need a boat. Just turn onto a side road of side roads. Maybe the Bug and the Bug will wink at you, and one of the Bearded Men will shout with wishes for good luck. And you'll be there – at the old farmhouse that found us in 2017. We managed to save some of the buildings, others we had to rebuild. However, after several years of thorough renovation, we offer you a marriage of ancient and modern times. A haven for romantic weekends, company reunions, and forest parties.
Come, but be warned – the charm of Polesie hangs in the air here.

We are on-site, we give our guests space and intimacy, but we're always ready to help
We discovered the Habitat in Dańce at the end of 2017, looking for a place to relax and take our time. We found an old wooden cottage – dilapidated, but with a soul. It gave us pause.
There used to be a farm here. When we took over the place, some of the buildings were no longer suitable for use – we had to demolish them. But we managed to preserve the Old Barn – today we prepare it for meetings and workshops. We rebuilt the remaining buildings – exactly where their originals stood. The Brick Building is inspired by a former cowshed, and the Wooden Building – by a rural stable. We thoroughly restored the old Podlasie Cottage, preserving as much of its original character as possible.
Six years later, we can invite you to a place created out of a love of nature, simplicity, and good architecture.
