They say Łokietek slept on a stone bed in a cave 15 minutes away. For six weeks, he hid from the Czech King Wenceslas II, and the peasants served him meals from above. You'll have a slightly better time. While we don't have meals for you, as Ojcowskie Zacisze is your exclusive cottage, no one will force you to stay in a stone bed. Instead, we've created a cozy interior where you sleep on a mezzanine and eat breakfast by the window overlooking hills straight out of Czechowicz's poetry. To say it's idyllic is an understatement. We know more than one person who limited their activities to napping on the terrace and turning the pages of a book. However, if you have more ambitious plans, you can walk out of here in slippers to Poland's smallest national park, Ojcowski National Park. It's home to 17 species of bats, a rock that looks like a hand, and legends circulating about it, which you can pass on to children during a tour. There are picturesque bike paths, endless walks, and caves not only for kings. It's close to Krakow, if you're craving culture or a bite of a bagel. It's beautiful. We invite you to visit.

Please note: the barn is located right next to our other cottage, Ojcowski Zakątek, and it may be that other guests are staying there. Our cottages face the road above. It's close, but our guests never complain about the noise.

You can spend your time in a wide variety of ways in Ojców National Park – it's one of the most beautiful and richest in natural beauty in Poland. Here are some ideas:

Nature and landscape tours

Hiking trails – a network of well-marked routes leads through picturesque valleys, limestone cliffs, and forests.

Rock formations – including the famous Hercules' Club, Krakow Gate, and Deotyma's Needle.

Caves – visit Łokietek's Cave and Ciemna Cave (excellent guided tours).

Historical monuments and history

Ojców Castle – ruins of a medieval fortress on the Eagles' Nests Trail.

Pieskowa Skała Castle – a well-preserved Renaissance residence with a museum.

"On the Water" Chapel – a unique wooden church on stilts.

Outdoor Activities

Hiking and short walks – routes vary in length and difficulty.

Cycling – there are several cycling routes in the area, although restrictions apply within the park itself.
