At a glance

Has seeing the fjords been on your bucket list for a while? If so, there's no need to wait. Just fly to Bergen and rent a car, or take a 17-minute train ride to Arna. Here, on a promontory jutting into the Sørfjorden, a 38-kilometer-long fjord, sits our house. Complete with Pinterest-worthy views, it features four bedrooms, a terrace, and a dining room with panoramic windows. Year-round, the local nature will delight you with spectacles that will stay with you for a lifetime. And although our place is immersed in the tranquility of Norwegian nature, and you can set off on a hike straight from the house, the surrounding area offers plenty of attractions. You can easily visit colorful Bergen, full of cozy cafes and restaurants. A short trip away awaits you with kayaks, a floating sauna, and a "dagsturhytta" (day cabin). Galleries, museums, and historical sites abound. In spring, the road smells of wild garlic, and in summer you can swim in the fjord. Do we need to go on? Probably not. Come and fulfill your Norwegian dream.

I'm a wife and mother, and what I value most in relationships with people are respect, warmth, and authenticity. I love nature, long walks with our Border Collie, bike rides, yoga, books, and baking. Norwegian nature—majestic, quiet, and spacious—is my inspiration. Our place is a space overlooking the fjord, immersed in peace, quiet, and beautiful nature. We created it with those seeking tranquility in mind, but also for families with children, friends, and loved ones who want to spend time together. It's the perfect place for workation, mindfulness practice, yoga, cooking together, conversations at the table, or just being. And when you miss the energy of the city, you can always spontaneously pop into the city center—close and convenient. I understand hospitality as creating an atmosphere where you can breathe, feel at ease, and truly at home. I want every guest—whether they arrive solo, with family, or with friends—to leave feeling light, inspired, and truly relaxed.

How do I get there?

By car

  • Our address: Risnesvegen 76, Trengereid, Bergen, Vestland, Norway

  • From Bergen: The easiest way to get there is via the E16 between Bergen and Voss. Instead of entering the Trengereid tunnel, take the first right turn, following the "Romslo" sign. You'll pass the Vegvesen station. After climbing a slight hill, turn left onto the narrow, picturesque Risnesvegen road and continue straight. You'll pass two clusters of houses – our house, number 76, is on the left, overlooking the fjord. The road is winding, but quiet and very charming. If you're coming from Oslo: Take the E16 towards Bergen. After passing Voss and Dale, look out for the "Trengereid" sign. After the tunnel, you'll reach a roundabout and take the first exit, past the Hjelle Bakeri store. Turn slightly left and continue straight ahead on a slightly winding but wide road. At the fork, turn slightly right. At the next fork, turn right again. After the third tunnel, just beyond the parking lot, there will be a downhill entrance to the property.

Public transport

  • Nearest stops

  • Bus: Risnesvegen, (0 km), Bus number 925 runs from Arna to Trengereid, stopping at the "Risnesvegen" bus stop – right next to the exit to our house. The bus runs infrequently, so it's worth checking the schedule in advance (Skyss.no app).

  • Train: Trengereid, (2 km), The nearest train station is Trengereid Station, located on the Bergen-Voss-Oslo line. Local trains stop here, departing several times a day from Bergen (approx. 17 minutes) and from Voss (approx. 40 minutes). (Vy.no app). You can take a shorter path (approx. 15 minutes) – just after climbing the hill, you'll see a large boulder with the date "1883" on your right. Before this, there's a forest path leading up, which emerges much higher, onto a paved road leading directly to the house. If you prefer to continue on the paved road, go straight after leaving the station, and at the fork, turn right, then right again. You'll pass three small tunnels; after the last one, you'll find our house, number 76, on the right, with a white garage door visible from the road. It's a peaceful walk along a picturesque country road - with a waterfall and birdsong along the way.
