Our house didn't appear suddenly. Rather, it grew slowly, from conversations around the kitchen table, from summer walks by the sea. From a family dream that had been developing for over three decades. In Karwieńskie Błota, a coastal part of Kashubia, three generations decided to create a shared space: modern yet context-sensitive, ecological, and deeply immersed in nature. The structure was designed to give way to the trees that have been growing here for 35 years. They set the rhythm of the house, not the other way around.
The interior opens to the landscape with large windows, making the forest and sky constant guests. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a shared living room with a kitchen – the heart of the house, above which a trampoline-like net hangs, intended to bring joy to the children, but surprisingly often taken over by the adults. As the day flows outside, life spills out onto the vast terrace – a place of feasts, laughter, bare feet, and long evenings filled with snuggles.
When designing the house, we subordinated it to nature. The trees we planted here decades ago defined its layout – not one was removed. The building's form is nestled among the greenery, and large windows ensure the treetops are present in almost every room: in the bedrooms, living room, and terrace. Nature isn't a background here – it's part of the everyday life and atmosphere of the interior.
We also focused on simplicity and responsible solutions. We designed the house to be energy-efficient, with natural materials and technologies that allow for year-round comfort without excessive interference with nature. The interiors are calm, decorated in a neutral color palette, with the warmth of wood and sparse details. It's a light, summery space, yet simultaneously modern and durable.
This house is, above all, a place for togetherness. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a shared living room with a kitchen and dining area – the heart of the home. We designed a trampoline net above the living room: an element intended to bring joy to children, but quickly became a favorite relaxation spot for adults as well. Above the living room is also a mezzanine space that can serve as a playroom or an additional (fourth) bedroom. The terrace, with its large table, naturally takes on the role of summer centerpiece. Its latest addition is a sauna, accessible directly from the terrace – perfect for cooler days and quiet evenings after a long walk.
We don't offer meals – we believe that freedom of choice and your own daily rhythm are part of relaxation. Cooking at your own pace is a great way to achieve this, and access to good, local produce is truly easy.
There are two friendly farms in our village, and we're happy to provide direct contact information:
– one offers fresh, seasonal vegetables,
– the other offers organic, fresh eggs.
For quick shopping, just cross the road – Groszek is literally opposite the house and is open every day, including Sundays and holidays, until late in the evening. You can buy basic groceries there.
For larger purchases, you can drive to Krokowa (approx. 5 km), where you'll find POLOmarket, Biedronka, and Rossmann.
We recommend fresh bread from the local bakery in Minkowice (4 km).
If you don't feel like cooking, we especially recommend the Dworek Minkowice restaurant in Minkowice. Additionally, during the summer season, you'll find seaside bars and pubs about 2 km from the house—perfect for a casual meal after a walk or a day at the beach.
If you'd like, we can also leave a short list of our trusted addresses and phone numbers in the house directory.
The house is situated in the buffer zone of the Coastal Landscape Park – a place of exceptional landscape and natural beauty. It's an area where coastal forests give way to vast meadows crisscrossed by canals and watercourses. The space is open and vibrant: full of birds, roe deer, deer, and small animals, which can often be observed during walks and bike rides.
The sea is approximately 2 km from the house. A path leads to it along the canal through meadows, and at the end, wide, bright beaches with fine, clean sand, typical of this part of the coast, await.
In the opposite direction stretches a completely different landscape: forests, gentle hills, and lakes, perfect for swimming in the summer. This proximity to different environments means that each day offers a different form of contact with nature – more marine or more forest.
The EuroVelo 10 and EuroVelo 13 cycling routes run right outside the house. These routes take you to Hel or Łeba, and for the more ambitious, further into Europe: east to Lithuania and the Bieszczady Mountains, and west to Copenhagen and even Santiago de Compostela.
A cycling trail also runs through Sławoszyno, following the former narrow-gauge railway line from Krokowa to Swarzewo on the Bay of Puck.
The area is also ideal for water activities. Two rivers offer leisurely kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding trips: the Piaśnica (from Lake Żarnowieckie to Dębki, approximately 7 km) and the Czarna Woda, also known as the Black Wda (to Ostrowo), also approximately 7 km away.
Nearby are numerous sightseeing and historical attractions: Krokowa Castle, Kłanino Palace, Mechowo Caves, the lighthouse trail (Rozewie, Białogóra, Stilo**), the Six Oaks palace and park complex in Prusewo, and the Gothic monastery and church complex in Żarnowiec.
After a day spent outdoors, the natural complement is returning home: a sauna, a book on the terrace or by the fireplace, cooking together, board games, and quiet movie nights. This place promotes a balance between exercise, nature, and relaxation. Can you ever get bored by the sea?
Our cottage's central location between towns like Jastrzębia Góra and Dębki offers numerous attractions and services for relaxation, such as a massage or beauty treatment.
The inspiration for building this house came from four little ones who had recently appeared around the world. They were the ones who best confirmed that this place is truly ideal for children. The net is a wonderful place to play and explore creative ideas. The spacious terrace allows for reading books and solving puzzles in the sun. Numerous trees and shrubs allow for building your own hideaways. For those who need some extra entertainment, the grounds offer swings, a zipline, and a fold-out inflatable pool. And in the evening, you can roast sausages over a bonfire.
All of this is provided on the grounds themselves. Outside, nearby (approx. 1 km) there's a playground, horseback riding (approx. 4 km) for horses and ponies, playing fields on a columbine (approx. 3 km), and numerous attractions thanks to the proximity of the beach and seaside towns.
For those working remotely, we offer our comfortable, spacious tables—one in the comfort of your own home in the dining room, and the other on the sun-drenched terrace. They provide plenty of space for a book, a laptop, and a cup of coffee.
To ensure your work is comfortable, we provide high-speed internet.
