Our hideout is the Powidz Landscape Park. It can be yours too, especially if your hideout is near Poznań – you can drive there from the capital of Greater Poland in 1.5 hours. And if, in addition to hiding, you also feel like exploring, the area is open to you. Or should we say – a lake? They call several of the local reservoirs "wandering lakes." Due to the natural processes of erosion and sand deposition, they change their shape every year. Our lake, Budzisławskie, is a bit more static, but full of surprises. On the one hand, it's as deep as a fjord – a whopping 35 meters at its deepest point. On the other, it's called the "Caribbean of Greater Poland" because on sunny days it has the crystalline turquoise color of exotic seas. The beach with piers is no more than 100 meters from here. So, even if you forget the kayak we've prepared for you, you can return at any time. We hope you'll enjoy coming back – because our brick house with its green door can be your home away from home. It's full of warmth and space for stories of family and friends. There's a fireplace, a wing chair for evenings with books, and the kids' favorite pizza oven. The scent of wood fills the air, and guests often smile.

The house has two bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the living room. Downstairs, there's a spacious living room with a fireplace, kitchenette, and large dining table. There's also a comfortable sofa and a wingback chair with a footstool. The downstairs bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom has a shower and a sauna. Upstairs, there's a second bathroom with a bathtub. Additionally, there's a mezzanine with large windows overlooking the garden, a minimalist desk for work, and a reading chair.

Inside the house, you'll find a well-equipped kitchen for preparing your own meals. We also built a brick-built pizza oven in the garden, which is also suitable for barbecuing. Nearby, there are restaurants where you can drive up or order food delivered.

Definitely not. First of all, there's a super-clean lake 100 meters from the house, with a gently sloping beach and two small jetties. You can swim or fish there.

There are many forests nearby, with walking and cycling paths, and plenty of places to pick mushrooms – we have saffron milk caps, boletus, butter mushrooms, and kites.

The best part is still waiting for you at home – in the summer, you can enjoy delicious pizza from the wood-fired oven in the garden. We have a covered gazebo with a large wooden table, and long conversations over home-cooked meals. Preparing meals together is something amazing that builds great relationships.

Plus, you have a fireplace for cooler evenings and a Finnish sauna, which is just a flick of the oven knob.

Our favorite spot is at the top of the house – the bedroom with double doors, which opens onto a mezzanine that's sunny year-round. You can bask in the sun and cure your vitamin D deficiency. We also have a small library of books and magazines (also in English), which we add to over time. Just be careful, because reading there can be addictive and the pages fly by. :)

Oh, we almost forgot – we also have a kayak, very well balanced, and it's a blast to navigate around the lake.

The kids especially love the lake, swimming, and kayaking. And since it's so close, they can run around in flip-flops for sandwiches, and often do so. :) We also have a village playground and a forest nearby. At home, making and baking pizza or shish kebabs in the oven is definitely a huge draw.

We don't have much phone reception, so we've tried to get WiFi. While the signal is wireless, it only reaches speeds of about 50 Mbps. The internet slows down during the summer months, but speeds up in the off-season. You can work comfortably if you don't need fiber optic speed. On the mezzanine floor, we've prepared a minimalist desk for you under the skylight. It's very pleasant there, and we hope that many a book, or the beginning of one, will be written there.
