As an architect, I am constantly looking for new projects, and Kutica was a challenge for me. In my imagination, I created this place as a unique opportunity to experimentally accommodate and adapt to a specific terrain and surroundings. After much hesitation and searching, the choice fell on land that has been owned by our family for over 100 years. And so I went from the mini-house to the final design.
Kutica does not disturb the surrounding nature, but coexists with it. Therefore, its design combines simplicity, i.e. the use of wood inside and outside. The anthracite façade contrasts with the natural color of the terrace wood, and at the same time the terrace frames create depth and define a specific view of the surrounding mountains. In the same idea, a large window was placed by the bed, overlooking a nearby hill, dominated by a protected pear tree from several centuries ago. So, welcome to Kutice, which I did on my own with my family. Invite.
