Villa Matygówka, along with its sister project, which is yet to open, is located in Gliczarów Górny. It's one of the highest-altitude villages in Poland. Instead of the bustle of the promenade, there's space, a breeze carrying the scent of the forest, and a panoramic view of the Tatra Mountains, a sight that's part of everyday life here. We don't think you'll ever tire of it, but remember that the richness of Podhale is within your reach. From here, it's close to Bukowina with its thermal baths and pastoral tradition, close to Zakopane with its energy, folklore, and Witkiewicz-esque architecture—but still far enough away for the quiet, majestic mountains to take center stage.

A stroll along Krupówki Street is a classic: the aroma of grilled oscypek cheese, street musicians, and wooden architecture in the Witkiewicz style. You can take the funicular up Gubałówka for a view of the entire Tatra Mountains, follow the trail to Morskie Oko or the Kościeliska Valley, visit Wielka Krokiew, art galleries, and Tatra museums. And in the evening, retreat to one of the atmospheric inns with live music and listen to the melodies of Podhale.

History and Legends of the Lake
A little further afield, but absolutely worth a visit:
· Niedzica Castle – a picturesque 14th-century fortress on Lake Czorsztyn, with mysterious chambers and fairytale views.
