Meet the house created by an introvert for introverts. Hidden in the forest, with wild animals as the only neighbors. There are no luxury attractions here, but instead there is a bookcase, a chaise longue with a reading lamp and a supply of blankets. Right next to it is a pleasantly crackling stove. It was supposed to be like a Norwegian hut: simple, close to nature and cozy - if you feel that this is something for you, come. The house doesn't pretend to be bigger than it is: it has a bedroom, a bathroom and a living room with a kitchenette. It will be perfect for two people or one brave person who feels calm in the forest and won't run away at the sight of ants or a bat flying out of the chimney. It so happens that today we live a few plots away, so you will be welcomed with fresh bread, challah, and maybe even cinnamon rolls. We will be happy to advise you on how to walk through the forest and where to admire the most beautiful views of the Elbląg Upland Landscape Park.
The cottage measures 32 m² and stands alone on a 4,000 m² wooded plot. It has a bedroom and a large living room with a kitchenette. There is also a bathroom with a shower and water from its own well, heated in a 30-liter boiler.
The kitchenette is equipped with basic dishes, pots, pans, and cutlery.
Bedding and towels are provided.
Outside the summer season, the cottage is heated by a woodstove/fireplace, and guests are responsible for their own heating. We ask that you use your heating in an environmentally friendly manner and do not use the air conditioning with the windows open and/or the fireplace lit.

Kitchen: Water jug with filter, air fryer, electric kettle, two-burner induction stove, small refrigerator, cutlery, tableware for four (mugs, plates of various sizes, bowls, glasses, and wine glasses), 2 frying pans, 2 pots with lids, induction coffee maker.
Living room: Books, chess set, dominoes, flashlights, umbrella, beach umbrella, charger and cables with various adapters, JBL speaker, badminton, hanging hammock, and binoculars for bird and animal watching.
Terrace: Barbecue with charcoal and kindling.
Upon arrival, we serve our guests homemade bread with butter or a spread we're currently testing, sometimes something sweet: challah with local jam, cinnamon rolls, cookies, depending on what the hostess has pulled out of the oven that day ;) Sometimes the kitchen refuses to cooperate, and then you might find delicacies from the Kaczorowski family's orchard.
We don't have food delivered, or at least we were afraid of the kebabs available on apps 😅
Ask us, and we'll suggest the best places to eat. Maybe the Łęcz Women's Association is preparing something, or there's a market in Pasłęk or a fair in Tolkmicko.

We built the cottage primarily to escape civilization. There's no TV or projector, so it wouldn't be tempting ;) We don't prohibit laptops, but there's a selection of books, including a few on the history of the area.
You can also borrow interesting photo albums telling the history of the Upland region. The cottage has simple games like chess, checkers, and cards. You can also sit and stare at the fire – we spent many evenings doing so. In the summer, we encourage you to hang a hammock in the birch trees – it's better than air conditioning!
The area is picturesque; after all, it's the Próchnicka Switzerland. We have trails marked on the maps, following the routes where running competitions take place. At the other end of the village is a therapeutic forest trail, supposedly the best in Poland! We've tested it and recommend it!
We work with a bike rental company in Kadyny, where you can ride a section of the Green Velo trail. Nearby Phażantarnia, Kadyny, and Jelenia Dolina offer cycling routes where MTB races are held.
The cottage comes with binoculars, which you can take on a walk to the nearby "Bird Paradise" Reserve – home to a wealth of interesting birds, including white-tailed eagles.
Tolkmicko is a true gem – charming, peaceful even in high season, with a somewhat nostalgic feel of a bygone era. Along the way, it's worth stopping in the imperial Kadyny, where the unique architecture made of local brick is enchanting.
In summer, we recommend visiting the Kaczorowscy Fruit Farm – from mid-July, you can buy delicious peaches and other fruits and vegetables grown on the local hills. They sell them right next to the warehouse, which offers a beautiful view of the rooftops of Tolkmicko and the reservoir.
From Tolkmicko, you can also take a boat trip to the Vistula Spit – a great way to see the area from a different perspective.
Among the classic tourist attractions, we recommend Frombork and Cathedral Hill. The Nicolaus Copernicus Museum itself may not be very impressive, but the package also includes admission to the Museum of the History of Medicine – a truly interesting place.
If you enjoy a more active lifestyle and classic attractions, Malbork Castle, the Elbląg Canal's slipways, and bicycle trolleys (there are two routes: Kadyny–Tolkmicko and Tolkmicko–Frombork) will be a hit.
For those who prefer a more tranquil setting, I recommend a ride through the Żuławy region, by car, bike, or even kayak! You can literally get lost there among the narrow roads, canals, and unexpected hydraulic engineering monuments – often located in the middle of villages, far from the water.
You can ask us about a telescope – if the weather is nice, we can show you a slice of space from our terrace. Our sky is 4 on the Bortle scale.
If you'd like to stay longer and work in peace, we can arrange a desk, chair, and monitor. We have a high-speed Starlink connection and a separate network for the cottage. We'll then move the bedroom to the attic. However, our previous guests haven't taken advantage of this option and have used the kitchen table or the side tables by the sofa.
